No Changes to Billing at this Time (Apple)

So Apple/iOS is requiring Patreon to make some changes to their billing/subscription model so that Patreon can still be available on their platform. But I am deferring that change on my Patreon until Nov. 2025, so a year from now. This does not affect anyone paying through Patreon directly. I actually have no idea what percentage of you folks this will affect, could be a really minor thing. Regardless, here is some info that Patreon sent me regarding it below:

As we announced in August, Apple is requiring Patreon to move over to Apple's in-app purchase system in order for the Patreon app to remain available in the App Store. Apple's in-app purchase system only supports Patreon's subscription billing model, so all creators are required to eventually switch to that billing model.

‌You're currently on a first-of-the-month billing model, which means that Apple does not support your billing model and you need to switch to subscription billing.

‌We know this is a big change, so we want you to have control over when you make the switch.

To delay your switch, update your settings by November 1, 2024.

Yeah, genuinely I don't know if this change (when it happens) will affect anyone or not, but it's important that folks know at least. :)

Good thing I'm an Android guy, yeah? Not that it matters, I pay Patreon directly. :-)
