BTS - “Being a mess on VLIVE” | Jin is sneaky funny!

1. The members are authentically themselves even when chatting on VLIVE.
2. Jin is sneaky funny…the kind of funny that you don’t expect, but will leave you with a hole in your stomach.
3. The members each have their own unique laughs (Jin with his squeaky laugh and J-Hope with his evil laugh).

Oh this was sooooo funny. I've never heard of that word (forgot it already) but ya'll are really in for it then because Jin does a whole series called Eat Jin, and it's soooooooo funny, but he's just eating. I usually hate watching people eat but for some reason I absolutely love watching BTS eat. Any of them. I think because they put so much into their mouths, I'm usually astonished, like how did they do that. It boggles my mind how they eat. They will often just put the pan on the table and all grab chopsticks or utensils and eat out of the one pan with no individual plates. They share food, the slurp, they do all of it and it;s honestly so funny and also so intriguing. Never in my life did I think I would enjoy that so much. But you guys really nailed them. Jimin is the emotional glue, Hobi is considered their sunshine, Jin is the moon, JK is the maknae, RM is the leader, Tae (V) is the alien, and SUGA is the grandpa - just watch him run and you'll understand. And their are definitely other nicknames or characters for each of them as well. RM is known to be extremely clumsy or breaks things, Suga sleeps a lot and yes his humor is often deadpanned, but he is also soooooo sweet, you will see that too. And yes Jin is hilarious. He explains in a Bon Voyage exactly why he chose to be that way. But, honestly, he's the oldest and even though RM is the leader, Korean culture is very hierarchal so they all must show Jin respect, even RM, so I think Jin decided that in order to give them all the permission to just be silly and have fun, since as you pointed out, they often work themselves to the bone, they need that release, and Jin was able to lead them in allowing them to be silly, it really is a beautiful thing and a beautiful gift that Jin actually gave to them all. You will definitely understand that more as you go through more content. I personally think Jimin has the cutest/funniest laugh, but I'm biased, but yes Jin has such a unique adorable infectious laugh as well. And you are totally correct, Jin doesn't take himself too seriously, walking outside with his pajamas on, wouldn't bother him at all. I have to say that my ALLTIME FAVORITE and FUNNIEST video of BTS and one that I literally watch anytime I NEED to LAUGH is the Run BTS called the 77-minute debate. It takes place over two episodes, 131 and 132 and it is actually the first Run BTS I watched. The debate is nonsense but they are squirted with water for various reasons throughout and it is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Mostly because all I could think when I watched it was --- why in the world are these millionaires allowing these people to squirt them with water --- like again, they just never take themselves too seriously. But there are so many great meme's from Run BTS, but a standing joke is that we often have no idea what the rules of the game are, but we don't care because they are so funny and in the end someone usually receives a punishment and we may not know why but we don't care because it's usually so funny. Also, BTS are like brothers and will do anything for each other, but the second a Run BTS episode begins and they find out their price is a $25 gift card (remember they are millionaires) they will betray each other in a split second and it's hilarious. The things they have had to do on Run BTS are really so funny and even when they aren't funny BTS always makes it funny because they are just funny when they are together. Many of the places you see in the VLives are hotel rooms when they are on tour, they used to do quite a bit of VLives in their hotel rooms, they don't do them as often anymore. Then often they are at Hybe offices, and yes the rappers each have their own studios, so that was J-Hope's studio, RM has his own now called RKive, and Yoongi has his called the Genius Lab, the vocal line don't have individual studios that we know of, but sometimes they seem to reference JK having one, but usually they are doing VLives from a shared studio or from a large room that has room for them all if they are all together, and these changed over time as they grew and got new offices. But in the end imagine living together for quite a few years sharing one bedroom and a tiny apartment, they tell quite a few stories about that. Then when they moved into larger dorms some of them still shared rooms, but this time only with one other person. They lived together and worked together for probably 11 to 12 years, I'm not 100% sure the exact timeline of when they all moved out of their last dorm, because it seemed like until the 2022 Festa Dinner when they said they were finally getting rid of the dorm, it was possible that they still used it on occasion even though they all probably had their own residences. They are extremely close as you have witnessed and you will only see that grow exponentially over time. And yes this is another reason why ARMY loves them and would also do virtually anything for them. They are genuine and as you said - authentic. They are their true authentic selves, even when that looks hard and gets hard. They have said before that even when they don't tell ARMY things they may be going through in the moment, they almost always will tell ARMY eventually, sometimes after they have worked on it themselves and dealt with it, then they share. There are many examples of that, but I'll let you learn that organically as you go through their timeline. Anyway, this was fun, and I miss seeing them all together so much, but also like when you couldn't quite understand how they had so much energy after having worked so hard, sometimes we forget that they were in their very late teens & early 20's during a lot of what you are watching now, and we all know our energy was off the charts then. Plus they often say that after concerts, they are kind of wired, I imagine from all of that energy. JK will often work out after a show - which to me I can't imagine, you would think they are spent, but apparently that is not the case. So, quite a lot of those chaotic lives in their hotel rooms are from after concerts, or even on days when they may have been bored in between shows.

2022-09-08 19:00:10 +0000 UTCWhen you watch their videos more, you'll discover that all of them have distinct laughs even Suga (low laughs with his shoulders lol) But definitely Jin has the most noticeable one since his is very unique and loud. My personal favorite is Jungkook's because you won't miss it, once you hear his laugh you will be able to distinguish it from the others even if it's noisy or even if he's laughing at a distance or in the background. Let me try to describe each one of them in my own perspective: RM: he has 2 types; 1st one is when he laughs only ONCE but very loudly like yelling "HAH!" he usually uses this during interviews so i think it's his own version of a fake laugh lol....then 2nd one is his genuine laugh where he sounds like he's trying to gasp for air in fast succession. JIN: he also has 2 types: most common as you've already seen is the windshield wiper laugh....and 2nd is the more discreet one (which ARMY absolutely loves) when he just lets out a short low slower sounding laugh, he normally does this when he gets shy or is in a more serious vibe than his goofy self. SUGA: the quietest laugh of all, similar to Jin's more mature laugh. He just has this low soft laugh followed by his gummy smile, even when you see him almost dying of laughter it's still silent lol the most interesting part of his laugh is that his shoulders move up and down along with his laugh ALL THE TIME, it's so adorable. JHOPE: again one of the more noticeable laughs, his is i think the most normal one in the sense that he laughs like how normal people would laugh when they're extremely happy. Just your good old LAUGH OUT LOUD kind of laugh. And he laughs at literally every single thing, he also laughs with his entire body. JIMIN: He giggles a lot, his laugh is the most adorable one for me. You can even hear literally the sound "Hee hee hee hee" from him. AND! he squeaks when he laughs! plus he always falls off chairs when he laughs and like jhope, he cannot stay still when laughing. If he's standing, he needs to lean on something when he laughs otherwise, he just falls on the floor. V: His laugh is also unique because it corresponds with his baritone tone of voice, it's a bass giggle and you can also easily tell that it's him laughing, but like Suga his laugh is quieter than the others, and you will see him dying of laugher with his mouth open but without any sound. JK: It's actually hard to describe his laugh, but he has multiple types but all of them is uniquely JK. He has a laugh that starts with air coming out of his nose, he has like a cockling type of laugh, he has like a menacing high pitch laugh, he has a laugh that sounds like he's crying-laughing at the same time, he has a childish laugh where he purposely sounds like a kid laughing and it's freaking adorable! Then again these are all my personal opinions and observations :)

By the way, even if the vlive are for "show", programed and all of this, when you have seen many of theme you know that vlives doesn't have a script, i mean this eleven minutes are nothing, the are hilarious, and many of the best bts moments comes from some vlives, they are just athentics. About Jimin, he is sort kind of light person, he shines and like you said, is the love in this group. About Jimin and JK, you will see, they together are the mess of bts.

So I would say both their laughs are the most infectious. Also, I agree that Jimin is like the glue. He has a very close relationship with each of the other six members and you can see him consoling them, but also hanging out and being goofy with each of the other members, and I think that is unique to Jimin.

To hear and see him laugh causes a rainbow to appear inside of me the way he goes all in when he gets the giggles about something. He does not hold back. You got a small glimpse of it at the start of this video when him, Jk and Jin were all sitting around in the hotel room. As you continue your journey you will eventually see what I mean.

I would suggest what someone already said and that is probably to watch interviews like Jimmy Fallon, and James Cordon, things like that. I actually just feel happiness and contentedness when they are eating and talking together. That's when I knew that I truly loved them😄💜 As a warning, BTS content contains A LOT of eating. That's one of the things ARMY loves the most, actually. Eating etiquette is largely different in SK than in the US, it is considered normal to slurp noodles whereas here in the US it is considered bad manners. Jin is the unofficial maknae of the group😂 he's hilarious and playful and rarely uses his oldest member card. As for favorite laughs, definitely can't choose. I adore their laughter so much.

Jin has said he gets happiness from making other people happy and laugh. It makes him feel good about himself. I’m so glad y’all are seeing this side of them. This is where you guys will fall even further into the Bangtan hole. It starts with an interest in the music, then you get to know their personalities through videos like this and you fall in love with their goofy sides. For your question about their laughs, I personally find Jin, Jhope, and Jk laughs the most contagious. I think it’s cuz my laugh is probably the most similar to theirs, especially Jhope. Also, yeah Vlive is where they go live to chat with ARMY. They usually go straight to ARMY after accomplishments, concerts, or when they miss ARMY and have the time to chat with us for a little. Jhope was in his studio in that clip. The rapline members and JK all have their own studios. I may be wrong, but I don’t think the others have solo studios (hopefully another ARMY can correct me on that if I’m wrong). Their lives are always so appreciated by ARMY. If you guys react to more or even just watch on your own time, I recommend “RM being adorable on vlive” I don’t how many times I’ve watched that compilation lol. I’m a Joon bias so sometimes I watch it when I miss him or I’m sad and need some form of comfort. I usually go to vlive when I’m down and rewatch the member’s lives. You guys should see what happens when you put the youngest and the oldest together! When you guys continue your journey and dive into their Bon Voyage series you'll see where Jin decided to be less serious and more laid back as the person you see today. 2seok(jin+jhope) laughs are the most contagious and louder of the group so I would say theirs are the "best." I wouldn't recommend funny compilations yet since it can spoil you moments from their shows and you might not get everything out of context. So it's probably best to watch the official shows (Run BTS, Bon Voyage, In The Soop...) if you want to really see their personnalities. Otherwise, if you want some light videos, I suggest you to react to their interviews, the talk shows they get invited to or their Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. You'll get their music and their personnalities all in one video! 💜

He and Jimin laugh at pretty much everything. It's just that Jimin's laugh is soft and squeaky and Jhope's 100x louder lol. Not gonna lie, all of them laughing altogether is the best for me. It's chaotic but it's music to my ears and my stress reliever. I'd always come back to these funny compilations of them whenever I feel down and drained. My best serotonin booster since day one. <3

One of my favorite compilation videos to watch is called "FUNNIEST Run BTS moments that had BTS WHEEZING forever | try not to laugh" by SugArmyy. Genuinely have laughed until I cried watching that. Also, a comment up above explained how there's an animal emoji assigned to each member so there's clarity in who's speaking without having to write their names over and over in the captions, and it's used very often! I would recommend learning it or at least being able to reference that list so you can know who the fandom is indicating is speaking. You typically see the animal emojis on twitter too!

He laughs so much/hard he often falls off his chair- a running joke in the fandom. While Jimin’s laugh always makes me smile and laugh too, Yoongi’s SMILE is by far the best. He doesn’t always laugh out loud as much as the rest, but his SMILE is amazing. So genuine, so sweet, so sincere… when he gives you a big smile, you know he’s truely happy and I love seeing him happy.

2022-08-05 07:17:26 +0000 UTCsorry for commenting so much lol but yoongi(suga)/we call him yoongi, that's his given name/ is my bias and he's more reserved and quiet than the other guys but he's also just as chaotic, he struggles often to receive affection or like how he felt awkward saying "I love you" back to taehyung(v) often you'll see yoongi kind of rejecting a hug or feeling awkward and cringes when nice and affectionate words or feelings are said although we all know he secretly loves it. there are times where he'll walk up to one of the boys and just stand there until he gets attention and then act like he doesn't like it but it's clear that he loves it. if you ever listen to yoongis mixtape you will get a look inside his mind in his song The Last which is under the name Agust D which is his name for when he does music apart from bts, in that song he talks about his struggles with depression and anxiety and honestly both of his mixtapes are really deep and emotional. yoongi personally is my bias because I feel more of an emotional connection with him in that aspect of knowing he openly has spoken about those things he's known to openly talk about mental health and is also an advocate for the lgbtq+ community and even when he goes live on vlive it's like a mini therapy session because he just says all these meaningful and comforting words to army, I even have some of the quotes from what he has said on my wall for when I feel down so yeah. i just wanted to let you know a little more of this side of yoongi <3

I have the app, and I get a notification whenever a member starts a VLive, so I know to open my app to tune in. ARMYs can send live comments that appear on screen, and members will answer questions and read comments intermittently during their live. The only bummer is for us non-Korean-language speakers, we have no idea what is being said unless they occasionally throw some English in (mostly Namjoon) - usually English subtitles are available in 24 hours so I go back and re-watch...We can almost always expect a group VLive after a concert or major awards show and individual VLives on the members' birthdays, but we also get surprised by random VLives by individual members throughout the year

However, with that being said, I adore Jimin’s squeaky laugh. Whenever Jimin laughs it’s with his whole body, to the point where he’s usually falling into people or falling off of things. They all have fantastic laughs and a great sense of humor though. I highly recommend watching a Jinminkook video. That is the ultimate chaotic trio of Jin, Jimin and Jungkook. You could also watch the VLive where Jimin was sucking on the lollipop. That whole live was basically those three being hilarious and absolute chaos. Since you guys have Misophonia, which I did not know was a thing, if you don’t feel comfortable watching that VLive you certainly don’t have to. Thank you for giving the guys a chance, not just in music but their personalities as well.

I feel like some compilation videos can often give little context and/or spoil parts of shows like Run because they assume you have a baseline knowledge already. I think as you get to know them more through RoB and watch Run BTS yourselves, you will appreciate their humor much more. Tbh to watch BTS you just have to deal with the mouth sounds when they are eating. It irritated me a lot because it is the opposite of what I learned growing up but I have to understand the culture is different :)

I’ve kinda gotten used to it a liiittle watching Korean tv, because culturally, I learned that the more eating sounds, the better. Eating loudly means the food is delicious, so to be expressively enjoying your food with sound is a compliment to whoever made it. Me and my sister always share the same side eye to each other whenever we heard smacking lol so interesting how etiquette works in other countries. So I hate to break it to you two, but the food/mouth sounds will be a frequent thing round these parts 😅🤣

Jin because of his windshield wiper laugh, Jhope because he has the loudest laugh and tends to clap his hands really fast while laughing and throws his body everywhere haha, Jimin because of his cute giggles, covers his face with his small hands, and the little squeak at the end of his laugh (you'll start noticing that jimin is bestfriends with the floor and anyones body who is next to him when he laughs hard lolll), Jungkook because of his "white chicks" laugh (well that's what it sounds like to me but I love it lol) and he throws his head back! *Also, Jimin and Jungkook have such similar laughs which is actually in sync sometimes its crazzyyy!!*. But ofcourse I love all of their laughs! Namjoons cute dimple smile and his small laughs, Taehyung has such a CUTE laugh which sounds like he's giggling a lot and his oxygen smile, and Yoongis 'shoulder moving' silent laugh with his big gummy smile!

(in one of the episodes in 'Bon Voyage'). Specially when its comes to the members he will crack jokes all day. Can't forget his laugh which is just soo funny yet so contagious haha. Jin and Hobi have the laughs that tickle me the most. You also asked about Vlive. All of these were clips from live streams. The members will typically go live on their birthdays and after performances and award shows. Then sometimes they just go live for no particular reason. The vlives often happen in the wee hours of the morning for me here in the US due to the time changes - so when I do catch one it is special. Thank you for the reaction! It made me laugh and I needed that today.

Once when they were on vacation in Malta he went out with J-Hope wearing a pretty ridiculous outfit and was blithely chatting with complete strangers and J-Hope couldn't handle it, lol. Jin said, "Are you ashamed of me??" (jokingly) and J-Hope was like, "... just a little bit." They both just have a way of making the people around them feel good. I am also partial to their laughs, Jin being a contagious laugh that makes anyone smile, and Yoongi has a quiet laugh and he holds back which is very on brand for him. One laugh I think all armys love is Joons fake laugh, when he's suffering through an interview or something and you can tell he doesn't mean it 😆 so funny. And you are so right about Jimin ....Jhope did the Lolapalooza in Chicago recently being the 1st Korean to headline the show they said he couldn’t eat or sleep and it’s very evident in the vlive he did last weekend that he lost weight...anyway Jimin flew in to the US the day before Jhopes performance to give him support he also came while Jhope was doing a Vlive and Jhopes mentality completely changed ...these boys have a brotherhood like no other....it’s what this world is missing I think... Jimin will be there for you no matter what...I have found out I gravitate to V but in all honesty you eventually become OT7 because they all have special characteristic that draws you in and together they are complete 💜💜They don’t go to after parties after awards shows they go straight to Army after concerts or awards shows sometimes it can be a random idea that they wanna talk to Army and if you become a member of Weverse they will give notification when the member goes live...after the first Grammy show where they didn’t win they got on Vlive to console Army ..the Grammys used BTS for the very last performance to keep viewers watching but the hysterical part is their Vlive talking to Army had more viewers than the Grammys had the entire time it was on💜

I think there's no need to watch them chronologically, if you're just looking for a good laugh and know their personalities better💜💜

Jin is my bias, when I first found BTS I was drawn in by Yoongi because of his lyrics (and to be honest, his looks...) but the more I got to know them I found myself drawn to Jin.. the way to my heart is Dad jokes and food and he does both 😆 I also love how he will be silly to pull attention off of the other members if they are feeling shy or uncomfortable. He came in not knowing how to dance or sing and look at him now, it just goes to show how much hard work he put in and how he never let it stop him or slow the team down

Jin has the best laugh because he cracks himself up all the time with his “dad” jokes. I love his RJ (BTS21) PJ’s. Jimin just giggles all the time. JK was making him laugh by embarrassing him with a leering love look to get him to blush which is easy. J-Hope has a full on, roll on the floor belly laugh. Suga is like the father, very serious, an old soul but when he lets go, he’s goofy too. JK with his “bunny “ smile is a little instigator with a cute giggle. Living together for so many years must have made them like actual brothers, always up to something. I just love watching them. They never sit still. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Even though that's not acceptable in our U.S. food culture, I still love watching them eating and enjoying their food - it makes me happy. Official content is usually captioned (though speakers are not always identified), so maybe you can mute for a bit if it's intolerable. ARMY content-creators often use initials, text color or emojis to signify who is speaking (and it amazes me that even though there's no formal rule, those emojis are consistent between platforms, and are used by Korean and international ARMY. I love this fandom - it's so organized!) Best laugh? For me, it's a tie between Jin's windshield-wiper laugh, Jimin's squeaky giggle, J-Hope's loud cackle and JK's high-pitched giggle (a.k.a. the "baby laugh"). If you want funny moments that don't involve Run content, try compilations like "BTS Passing Things Around is Funny for No Reason, Parts 1 & 2" by SugArmyy, "BTS Being BTS at Award Shows" by laughwithBTS, or the more recent "Funny BTS Being Extra at Award Shows, 2022 ver." by KPOP VGK. I'm here for chaos and crackheadery, and the best compilations generally come from You Tubers like Pinkkoyaa Films, Jinnie Eats, KOOKIESTAETAS, and SugArmyy. The latter two list their clip sources (SugArmyy even uses time stamps), so you can avoid spoilers if you wish. Getting the right mix of clips, memes, and sound effects is an art, and not everyone does it as well as these creators do. You can certainly enjoy them at face value (watching Jin scold his fellow members is comedy gold), but the more you learn about all the memes and inside jokes between BTS and ARMY, the funnier they get. 💜

However, ALL the members are so funny in their own way and just like you said each member has gravitating forces. I find myself gravitating towards different members depending on my moods. Hobi’s laugh is with body language which is hilarious. Other members you’ll see have distinct laughs too. JK has a distinct cute laugh and Jimin has a squeek at the end and at times accompanied with a fall to the ground (or chair) 😂💜

And that Jin wasn't always so silly, but realized its what his family (bts) needed. Jins a very shy introvert, but Namjoon once said Jin being by his side (especially in interviews) was calming for him. He's an icebreaker to make it easier on his bandmates in new environment, as you'll see the more you dig into them. Jin fights his own demons, but always has a smile for army- because that's the kind of person he is. Not to mention he has the voice of an angel. Him and Jimin are the type to put others emotions above their own for sure. And dont underestimate Yoongi (suga) you guys, you think he wouldn't walk outside in his pajamas but knowing him he just might lmao. Love your reactions, cant wait to see more.

Honestly, I couldn’t pick a favorite. 😂💜 A lot of funny moment videos are hilarious but I think the YouTube compilation videos become even funnier after you watch the content. Also, in the first few episodes of Run BtS, I think that they were still trying to figure out what the show was going to be. It gets better and better as they get used to filming it and playing games. Some of those episodes will have you rolling on the floor!! The laughter, the betrayals, the team work. They usually go live on their birthdays, after award shows and after concerts….and sometimes when they just feel like it. They love us that much!! Its always a great feeling when an artist/artists love their fans so much that they love interacting with them. They also occasionally reply to posts on Weverse. A longer video that always makes me laugh is "BTS Funny Moments 2020 To Cure Your Depression" this video will be better for you to watch once you've seen more videos. They are agents of Chaos 😍 be it on Award Shows or Interviews or Vlive... They are 💜👑💜 Chaotic Kings. I believe this was one of the benefits of being outsiders. They were never given the opportunity to be part of the stablished system, therefore there was no need to adopt the industry's etiquettes. They do it usually when it's their birthday, when they have something to celebrate with ARMY like after an award show or an album release, or when they're overseas for a world tour so you'll find sometimes they're on a hotel room. I aslo love Jhope when he's laughing, sometimes he rolls on the floor and it's just his natural laugh 😆 My first bias was V, he's also really funny but as I've come to know their personalities and watch different BTS contents, I got drawn more to Jin. Maybe others discovered Jin coz of his amazing high notes and being the worldwide handsome, but for me it was Run BTS that got me loving Jin. He has such an amazing, light and happy spirit 💜 I can imagine a day spending with him and I'll be just laughing the whole time 😩 But he's also the best big brother when the time calls for it. He's also got a lot of JINspiring wisdom. So he really knows when's the time to be serious and just have pure fun. Now he is my forever bias (with some Suga wrecking me sometimes) 💜

To me it’s just so cute to see them enjoying their food, although bts is the only exception, if it was anyone else is would literally make want to smack them.

Some moments I had seen in compilations but it was just a fraction of the show and it didn't matter at all

It adds to their charm and why we love them as people as well as artists. Yes they were reading comments on vlive when decorating the ARMY bombs. The background chaos in their vlives is some of the funniest stuff. My favourite laugh of the group is JK (although they didn't showcase it here). I will watch a 20 minute video of JK's laugh. I think when JK and Jimin are on vlive near the end and JK says "my heart is burning" he is talking about Jin teaching him cheesy jokes (Jin is known for his dad jokes). When you talk about how close they are, I always think they must have a million inside jokes. Thanks for reacting.

Jhope also has this chaotic and spontaneous personality that is very funny. Yoongi is my bias and i find him very funny but his jokes are more subtle I would say and he loves being sarcastic. Jimin flew from Korea to Chicago to see JHope at Lollapalooza because he wanted to support him and because he heard that JHope had been really struggling and down. JHope said that when Jimin showed up he was like his light and he became instantly happier. He said he was able to eat and sleep better with him there. So cute!

Also Jin is usually the one that initiate the most the jokes and funny moments, often the youngers members too (Jimin, V and Jungkook), and J-Hope just goes with the flow laughing and having a good time. Suga also has his moments (you'll discover it in RUN BTS), and RM is usually inadvertently the most clumsy member thus finding himself in unwanted hilarious situations. They do lives to celebrate achievements, after every concerts and award ceremonies, for birthdays and casually when they feel like it. Vlive moved recently to Weverse now, it's also an app that BTS' members use to talk to ARMYs (responding to ARMY's posts and comments). It's really creating a bond between fans and artists since they have their 'private' space to talk to each other. 'BTS at Awards Shows' is a funny video that is really nice, you don't need to know inside jokes and you can enjoy it fully.
