I recently had the pleasure of finding this movie on youtube and spending 2 hours watching and falling in love with it. I know, all of my furry patrons are probably like, 'Dude, that shit is old, how are you only now hearing about it?' Well, to that I say, better late than never!
It's one of the better movies I've seen, in terms of portraying a loving same-sex couple. The argument could be made that they're actually just friends, but I suspect if you watch it, with all of its subtext and themes, you might feel like I do. There is a fan-made dub of the original movie that is essentially just one guy doing almost all of the voices. It's kind of weird since Mei constantly sounds like he has a cold and Gabu sounds like he chain smokes. It's not a great dub, but at the very least it's better than the one BigPaWolf described.

It gets rid of Gabu's growly voice to be replaced by generic cutesy English dubs. Even worse Mei is a girl in this version. It gives the "butt shaking" scene a completely different context.
