Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR - UNCUT ALBUM REACTION!

Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR - UNCUT ALBUM REACTION!

Comments

I wasn't really emotionally attached to this album at all, because i just couldn't relate. But that last song came out of no where and had me full on crying, so if that's what the entire album does to others, i feel you haha

Whoops

I actually think that he should react to her last solo project WILLOW. It's really cool and it shows where she's really starting to move more into the rock thing. I think Jon might find her music over all to be pretty interesting but I don't think Willow would generate enough interest for the majority of his viewers based on what we see him react to the most. But you never know!

Willows new Transparent Soul is going the same direction

I get what you’re saying but also... at 17 these experiences shape and determine how we engage with partners going forward in our lives and at the end of the day this girl was clearly being treated poorly by someone who made her feel really bad about herself . So many of us can relate to that no matter what age we are. She’s also a young woman and that within itself is a whole thing lol. And while there are many commonalities in growing up across all generations , Gen Z is in a particular position because of the overwhelming influence that the culture of social media has had on them their entire lives . The internet is powerful and young people have far more access to a lot of shit that many of us would deem too adult/mature etc. Lots of us did or tried to do “older people” stuff as kids but like I said, the culture around the internet today is a different kind of beast and these kids are having substantial experiences because of it. I think this was a great album and even at my big age of 30, it resonated in many ways with me also. I do think it sounded like a a lot of other music but not for nothing... based on this album I feel like you can tell Olivia has good taste in music at the very least lol

I'm 23 and I cried my eyes out to traitor, even though I haven't had a remotely similar experience to that. There's something in her songwriting and her vocal delivery that makes me feel her pain in very palpable way. That's talent. With traitor specifically, the feeling that you're on the verge of losing someone to somebody else but at the same time, being assured that the relationship isn't over and that you're crazy for thinking otherwise. Just for that person to call it quits and then end up with the person you saw them talking to while you were together? Heartbreaking... I've never gone through that, but I felt her on that song.

I Am Not Chamari

Please do kids by Mac miller next 🙏🏼

Yo you really gotta check out that beastmode 2 from future only 9 Tracks and straight fire

Im 25 and this album took me tf back to that 14 year old heart break

Traitor deserves more 😭😂 she’s talking about being gaslit and made to feel crazy when she was right. Anyway, love your reactions and I think she’ll be Gen Z’s Taylor Swift. 💜

I'm 24 and I also felt old listening to this album. For a 17-year-olds debut album, it was pretty great. She is a stellar songwriter and really knows how to touch the teen in everyone. When you're 17 every heartbreak sort of feels like the end of the world... because at the time, it is.

Very good, I'm listening to this album non-stop and I'm no teen 😂. 32-year-old mom here. Just FYI, the song "1 step forward 3 steps back" Taylor and Jack did no writing, that we know. Olivia wanted to use a sample from "New Year's Day" from reputation album. To bypass the fact that Taylor can't re-record reputation yet and give no money to Big Machine, they did something called "interpolation". That's why Jack and Taylor have a writing credit in this song.
