You should check the music videos for cardigan and willow. If you do watch them together! You don’t even have to react, just go check the quality of the work. She works with Rodrigo Prieto who has many oscars nomination. She also direct both of them.

The song closure is a song she wrote about her relationship with her old record label considering all the shady shit they did to her while she was in the label along with the whole situation of them not allowing her to buy her own masters and they sold it to someone who's basically put her through the shits over the years. She was really close with the owner of her old record label "Big Machine", she essentially saw him as a father figure and he knew literally everything about her and her music. So the weird sound in the background of the song is meant to sound like a broken machine in reference to her old label since the songs subject is based around that.
