2019-12-11 23:37:25 +0000 UTCI like Bryson a lot but his sound is 100% influenced by Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR. While he was more of a traditional rapper previously, he adopted the auto-tuned R&B over trap-like beats from PND & mixed rapping & singing like Drake. This came out in 2015 where as OVO was pioneering this sound in years prior.

More soul, more vibe, probably more stuff you’d put your shades on to but also make you think. One of my top R&B favs, but it is a little lower energy

Agreed; Overtime and The Sequence are the weakest as they seem to be quite personal to the artist or that type of person. But the vibe and bass of let 'em know hits harddddd, he's so confident and determined. Also, The Weeknd did a remix to Rambo if you're interested.

That being said, I’ve listened to the Saba album front to back twice the past week. Still a really solid project. If you like that 90s R&B and wanted an auto tune voice that can rap better and sing better than Bryson, check out Tory Lanez Chixtape projects. He has 5 mixtapes that all sample older R&B songs. Like Chixtape 5 just came out on streaming platforms and has Ashanti on the cover and samples from 2000s. Earlier projects sample from earlier timeframes.
