Cursed: Like A Jellyfish

This is an older template wo my apologies if it looks a little off. I'm a bit out of sorts, I completely forgot what day it was due to all the medical drama happening.  The other wedding caption I was working on just wasn't turning out good, and this one isn't the best either but it is what it is.

TEXT

Jessica was getting married! It was the happiest day of her life and everything was going amazingly; the Italian villa venue next to the Mediterranean Sea was perfect, all the guests she wanted were there and best of all, SHE looked as great as she felt! Her dress was a perfect mix of girly and floofy while sleek and modern. Jessica was girly, but she had never wanted to look like she had taken the entire fabric supply of a small nation to make her dress. No, it was just the right amount of floof and poof...Plus her flowery headband was SUPER cute! Oh, she just felt so...wonderful! Sure she was nervous but that was a given; she was, after all, about to get married to Gerard, the love of her life! Well, the current love of her life, anyway. The important thing was that he was a hot European, kinda dumb, and really, really rich. So here Jessica was, living the dream, when one of Gerard's somewhat quirky relatives had come up to her during the bridal photoshoot on the villa's veranda. She was some great aunt or something, Jessica didn't really pay attention to who was exactly who in her soon-to-be hubby's enormous family. She knew his parents, siblings and grandparents, and that the entire family on BOTH sides came from old royalty. Hence why they were rich. But this old woman was neither nice looking, nor looked as if she was from royalty. In fact, she was wearing some god-awful rags!

"Ah, there's the girly" The hag croaked as she peered at Jessica with deeply sunken eyes that were cloudy with advanced age, "Another stupid American floozy trying to steal my family's wealth, eh?"

"EXCUSE ME!?" Jessica shrieked, "How DARE you say that to me! I am the BRIDE and this is MY day!"

"Oh, I see right through you. You're nothing but a bottom feeder that shook that little rear of yours and got my poor Gerard caught in your tentacles. I know just what the do with you..."

"GERARD! SOMEONE GO GET GERARD!" Jessica screamed in fury as the withered and ancient looking old woman closed her eyes and began chanting in some weird foreign language. Jessica hadn't really bothered to learn much about Gerar'ds ancestry or culture beyond the fact he was rich, but she knew that what the old woman was saying certainly wasn't French. But it didn't matter, soon she'd stamp her foot and have this...this old BITCH removed from HER wedding! The beautiful blonde bride grinned smugly as one of her bridesmaids quickly shuffled back into the villa, a look of terror on her face, as the photographer stood there dumbly, catching the entire exchange on film.

"Shame you wasted the time to come here" Jessica sneered as the wrinkled old mummy opened her dead eyes again, "You probably don't have much time left before you're rotting in the ground! But whatever you old bitch, you're about to get kicked out!" But Jessica's smug grin faded when the old woman simply smiled with a crooked grin.

"Oh dearie, I just wanted to come tell you how good you look in that dress!" The tone of Gerard's aunt's voice was completely different, full of kindess and sincerity. Fear struck Jessica's heart, had she just, like, insulted an old lady with dementia?

"Oh...Um, t-thanks?" Jessica stammered, her wide eyes darting around as she looked for Gerard to save her. It was one thing to stand her ground against someone outright insulting her but to pick a fight with an old lady with a mental disease...

"Oh it's no problem at all, girly" The old woman reached out and gently took Jessica's arm, and then began to squeeze. Jessica let out a yelp and tried to pull her arm away but the old woman's grip was far more powerful than it should have been. And then she fixed Jessica with eyes that were glowing a frightening shade of purple instead of the rheumy grey orbs that had been there before. "But has anyone told you, you look like a jellyfish?"

"W-what?" Jessia gasped in confusion, but then Gerard's great-aunt shoved Jessica backwards with another burst of other-worldly strength into the stone barrier of the veranda. "L-LET ME GO!" Jessica screamed as the purple-eyed creature in the form of an old lady picked Jessica up with a single arm and unceremoniously dumped the bride over the side of the villa, sending her plummeting towards the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. And then she hit something hard and wet before she sank beneath the gentle waves.

Jessica flailed against the cold water, against the heavy frills and train of her dress as she struggled to climb for the surface. But With every push of her arms, she grew weaker and weaker as the current of the Sea pulled her farther and deeper into the sea. Jessica had no idea how she was still breathing after this long but she never stopped reaching for the ever more distant silver shimmer of the water's surface as her dress flowed around her in a display of white. She had to get back! She had to get help! She had to get...married? Suddenly Jessica had trouble thinking. She had to find a mate, that was for sure. And food. Oh, she needed food! Maybe if she just looked around a little instead of heading for the scary, painful surface. Jess propelled herself through the waters by making the mass of her white dress billow downwards, her small, soft body moving forward ever so slightly. She continued through the water, her sight dimming in the low light but she could feel the movement of fish around her on her ever increasingly sensitive skin. She slowed as she felt the fish come near, stretching out her many arms and extending the mass of her white body outwards until she was almost a foot long.

'Soon. Patience. Wait.' Her simple mind pulsed repeatedly. The thoughts of getting back to her mate were fading rapidly as she focused on finding food, and for what seemed like a long moment, the small white, gelatinous mass floated in the water, illuminated by the dull light from the strange world above, until finally, J felt something snag into her limbs. 'FOOD. SHOCK. EAT EAT EAT' her dulling mind pulsed rapidly and J flexed the extended parts of her body, tightening the gelatinous noose around the unfortunate fish that had wandered too close to her stinging tentacles. It struggled for only a moment before her toxins seeped into it's sclaes and rendered it still, after which her body-organs began pulling it up into her central mass; the rounded bulb where a human head had once been.

'FOOOD. FEEED' The Jellyfish's primitive and incredibly simple instincts called out as it floated in the invidible currents of it's home as the fish disappeared inside of the white, frilly mass. And there it stayed for some time until it's meal was consumed, and the simple white jellyfish began it's slow journey through the sea, searching for a mate, and more food. And hoping not to become food itself.

Back at the villa, the old witch smiled and played dumb, feigning dementia when the wedding guests, and her dear Gerard, asked her what had happened to Jessica. Why, she was only an old lady at the end of her life...And unconcerned with the plights of jellyfish.
