BOXING (Director's Cut)

You folks are getting the Director's Cut version of my boxing overview video, which means you're getting the original music tracks I used to time and temp things in (selections from the excellent soundtrack for the must-watch anime Ping Pong by Kensuke Ushio).

The process used to make this video is one I've settled on over the years of doing YouTube. I start by recording a script, but then once I have footage and I start scooting things around, I rerecord bits and segments as temp so the timing feels right, and then only after that do I record the final VO, which is a patchwork of the original script and all the additions.

Music-wise, I'll grab temp tracks to get the right mood and tempo, and then replace them later as need be (and approximately matching the tempo of the temps). Finally, there's a final round of timing adjustments, as the new music and new VO necessitates a little scooting around here and there.

Footage here is a mix of shots that Yung and Vinnie took on their iPhones and some footage Justin Yngelmo shot for BTS, and a couple of pickup shots to fill some holes.

The fight would have originally happened this Thursday(!). My plan is to release this in various forms across my social channels, both as a way to promote to this Patreon, but also to put a button on a brief but strange chapter of my life.
