First Look at Wardrobe
Added 2024-11-15 02:58:17 +0000 UTCThe first day of wardrobe came in from Layne (our excellent and frequent wardrobe collaborator, who has been with Matt and I since VGHS and everything since). These pieces are so we can get an early fitting with the stunt guys, as stunt wardrobe has additional considerations with regards to qualities of fabric ("stretchy enough for big kicks" one of the chief among them).
Shoes, especially, are of particular concern, as stunt people would have difficulty performing acrobatic maneuvers on a rainy set while wearing, say, smooth-soled dress shoes (and they all have a story of having to suffer slippery shoes on some wet movie or commercial). Numerous necessary adjustments noted - the Triad guy needs different shoes as he's going to be doing a lot of kicking (pants: ok), the Mafia guy needs a different style of jacket, etc.
This was also a chance to see how my wardrobe looks and make adjustments - here we find that my head is ridiculously large (so a medium hat will definitely not work), the stretchier pants are the ones to go with, and I need to test an insole on the shoes to make sure there's decent snugness around the ankles.
These are communicated and iterated upon in advance of Layne's visit on Monday for more precise fittings.
