Hey sorry for the late reply, yeah wow you're right, The original beat detection looks much better in that link, never mind that! Thanks for explaining though! I've got one more question, Is there any current way I can make a custom video for certain songs? As in choose which preset it cuts to at specific parts in the song?

2024-03-15 07:43:19 +0000 UTCwell about this one from Incubo_, there is 2 problems : - first it does not work that well : https://forums.winamp.com/forum/visualizations/milkdrop/milkdrop-development/4622543-the-real-milkdrop-s-perfect-beat-detection?p=4622678#post4622678 I clearly prefer the original beat detection here. - and second, all the presets were developed using the 'old' beat detection, most of the code we're using today is 10 or 20 years old. And like martin said, "changing it now would break backwards compatibility, or, in simpler words, make many presets react differently than intended. This is a no go." - I could add the code easily and make the user enable it via the MilkDropPanel if you really want to.
