BIG News!!!

As I sit here on this Friday morning I’m still sort of in a daze. Yesterday our prayers were very literally answered when we found a new home. Not just any new home but everything we could have hoped for. It’s hard to quantify how stressful the last few months have been. Actually, the past year, because I’d been trying to save for this move for a very long time before I asked for help. We were just 2 weeks from being homeless or struggling to make ends meet in something smaller than the 19ft cabin boat we live in right now.

the situation we’ve been in was somewhat grimmer than I’ve wanted to talk about publicly. I can’t quite get used to the idea of suddenly having a bathroom or a shower or having a flushing toilet, or having hot water, or for that matter running water at all, or having somewhere to sit that isn’t the bed 24 hours a day, or - and this is the big one - going to sleep without being woken in the night by rain dripping all down my back and on my head, not having to bail out inches of water in the doorway after every storm, not having to live in fear of sinking again, not having every item you own water damaged because there‘s nowhere dry and safe to keep anything.

On top of the issues with what is, essentially, a very old boat,  the marina changed management last year and they’ve almost doubled all the fees while their service has dropped dramatically. The reliably-open office where post could safely be received and collected at given hours is now rarely open, meaning medications I need daily often get returned to sender, or to the post office, or are locked in the office because there‘s no strict opening hours any more!  To have post delivered straight to my door will be a miracle! And to have shops that are walkable, even for me on a good day, rather than needing a taxi to even get to the end of the road we’re on (it’s looooong) is like a revelation. I’m still in a state of shock.

we don’t have a lot of money. I‘ve been supporting both of us almost solely through my art and my steps back into making content have been a struggle because of the lack of any space whatsoever to film, or even photograph my gut. Your support on here has been utterly invaluable and will enable me to start getting some proper equipment to film new videos after the move! The place we’re moving to allows me to make ALL kinds of content again! Anything I want. Anything you all want to see. I’ll have room to film, privacy to record, space to do anything I want to do, a PROPER KITCHEN TO MAKE GREAT BIG FAT MEALS to shovel into my greedy gut! And that’s going to allow me to really get back to gaining weight and stuffing! Plus takeaways will be an option again, there was nowhere locally that delivered here, I haven’t had a takeaway for almost 4 years! 😭

plus yesterday after viewing the place I went to pick up a few things in a nearby supermarket and they had this kind of GOEGEOUS crisps (potato chips) which were the thing that started me off being able to gain again big time in 2020 but I haven’t been able to get hold of locally in more than a year!  😍 I could just eat those and cheese all day long. Combined, they really put the weight on me so i’m going to be stocking up on those big time! And ŷeah, I bought a few bags to tide me over until the move 😅

Over the next 2 weeks, Luce and I will begin the hectic process of packing up our life wholesale and moving from Yorkshire to Nottinghamshire, to a little static caravan where we will finally get the chance to really start a new life. I wish you knew what a relief this was or how excited we are for all the opportunities that lay ahead! 

I want to apologise for the sparse updates this month in Patreon and to thank you for your patience and being so supportive I will pause Patreon payments at the end of the month so that you won’t be charged for April but you’ll all still get to enjoy (at least I hope you’ll enjoy them!) the first few videos I make in our new home as well as all the regular content I‘ll be posting such as getting back to keeping a daily diary of calories consumed and digestive woes!

 and while it might take a few months to make it happen, I’m FINALLY going to be able to arrange for our stuff to come out of storage and be delivered to us which means I might be able to access some of my old videos and stuff. I know I have some old hard drives in there, I just don’t know how well they’re going to work so I can’t make any promises but i’m hoping I’ll be able to share a bunch of older stuff too 😊

lastly, things will be hectic for the next couple of weeks while the actual move takes place so I may not be able to post until we’re more or less in our new home but that’s not far away and your patience will be rewarded, I promise you that! 

I made a post on tumblr a couple of months ago with some of the content I wanted to make if we could find a decent place to move to and now they’re all on the table so - For patrons only, - please feel free to have a look through and if there’s any you’d like me to prioritise please let me know! abain I can’t make any promises, there may be some I have to work up to, some need my health to improve and there are some that need me to buy something first but I’ll do my best to focus on your choices first!
