Ravenous! (8 and a half min audio)
Added 2022-03-01 09:45:22 +0000 UTCI‘m so sorry for the rattling sounds in the background, there was nothing I could do about that, I recorded this during one of the violent storms we’ve suffered in the last few weeks and the boat was being absolutely battered. You should have heard how loud the damn clattering sounds were from being sat in the boat! another reason why it’ll be a huge relief to move!
however I still wanted to share this, and I really hope it doesn’t spoil some of the wicked noises going on inside me here. Basically this was on a day when my appetite was just starting to come back after being really sick and I guess my stomach had *really* woken up! I’d eaten an hour or so earlier but I was starving again and my gut wasn’t shy about telling me so!
here’s the unusual thing: usually when I;m hungry my stomach will growl a few times, usually pretty violently, then stop and I’ll just get silent hunger pangs for a while, so it’s hard for me to catch hungry growls (plus I hate being hungry so I never feel like it;s worth my time starving myself to get them when I get so few! comparatively, whilst gas and digestion are a source of constant noise!) but on this day my stomach growled non stop for about ten minutes.
and oh my god, those hunger pangs were soooo painful! My poor gut! I needed food so badly but I stuck it out until the worst of the noises had passed to catch as many as I could for you!
I had to cut out a few bits where the rattling and banging from the storm were too loud to hear over, and I;m really sorry for that, but I hope you enjoy listening to my poor tortured, hungry tummy!
