This isn't necessarily about being in a remote area; it's about being Native American and living on an Indian reservation in America. The lands they were "granted" aren't the greatest, and it's hard to get assistance from the federal government for basic needs, let alone FBi and medical care. That's why jurisdiction is a question: is it a homicide or is it not a homicide (medical examiner), waiting for backup and medical assistance, etc. Let's just say one of the reasons for the lack of assistance isn't because it's in a remote area... 🤨

Never heard of this one, just finished the reaction. Poor Hella is so sensitive. They both seem like sweet people. I’m grateful for this channel and it is a pleasure to share this experience with them both. Thanks for all you do.

"Wind River" is an excellent movie that does a great job of hinting at the cross section of cultures in the USA with regard to Native Americans.
Many of us are still waiting for you to finally make it around to one of the truly epic masterpiece movies that explores the history of Native American culture, the heritage of Native North Americans and how the interaction between white European settlers and these indigenous tribes coalesced over the formative decades of the USA. That movie is "Dances With Wolves" and you will genuinely love it.
I cannot wait to hear you guys discuss what a movie called "Dances With Wolves" might be about, before the movie.

Taylor Sheridan is the writer and director of this film. I think Sheridan is a great writer and filmmaker. He also wrote SICARRIO that Denis Villeneuve directed, and he also wrote HELL OR HIGH WATER which is another great crime movie with great actors.
Most of Sheridan's stories are set in rural areas, and that's because he grew up in a VERY small town on a cattle ranch, so there's an authenticity to Sheridan's writing because he's not cosplaying being a cowboy.
He hasn't been making too many movies lately because he signed a huge deal with Paramount to make TV shows for them. I think deal was worth about 200 million, so not bad for a poor kid from Texas. If I remember correctly, his deal with Paramount is almost up and I think his next deal is with Universal, and I'm hoping they'll want him to get back to making some feature films.
