X-Men Reaction

Yeah the Nazis were totally not brutal 🥴. Take a break from the nazi chats, get out of your basement and go get some fresh air 🤡

Tobi

Here's the quote of the reaction . . . When Wolverine's attacked in the bar: Hela - "He doesn't kill, he just destroys weapons" . . . . Oh, he definitely kills. 🐺

RichieBIV

Good Luck

The girls are huge fans of the Deadpool trilogy and enjoyed Logan. It takes a while to bulk up with those muscles, Hugh had an 8-pack in DP and Wolverine, so it's interesting seeing him play the same character and command the same presence even without the bulk. Watch the rest of them, except for Dark Phoenix. The timelines are messed up but they're still good in comparison to what we normally get from Marvel today. I really want to see their reaction to The Wolverine (after the original trilogy) when he goes to Japan.

ND P

Hugh Jackman was ranked by a friend where Jackman thought he started a House fire destroying a Valuable painting and part of the house, He was genuinely scared till they told him it was a Joke,no damage done.

John West

The Torch has been off limits to tourists for Decades.

John West

Glad you enjoyed this one, Hella and Chi. I am looking forward in particular to the film The Wolverine, which is basically a Logan solo movie. Very good in my opinion. Some of the X-men films are really good and some are kinda meh, and a very few basically suck. That being said, I would recommend watching them all at least once so you have the whole story. The comics from which the films are derived have a very long history with deep and expansive lore to match. I will confess that I'm not as up on X-men lore as I am on things like Star Wars and LOTR but I will try to contribute to ya'alls understanding to the best of my somewhat limited ability. I don't know if I or someone else has recommended the animated web series RWBY but I would strongly recommend it to you ladies to watch. There are 9 seasons thus far, great characters (NO Mary-Ray-Sues), a great story combined with an expansive and large world to experience. In addition, this is a show that you can watch episodically if you wish OR watch a season in one fell swoop (or perhaps 2 or 3 swoops) because you can acquire a season in a single block, like a long film. Just a thought for you to consider.

David Bennett

lol I dont recall any interbreeding in the movie but I understand what you mean. The introduction of the X-Men and of course Stan Lee was in here as well because he Co created them. Oh and David Hayter did the screenplay for this and if you don't know who that is, its the voice actor of Solid Snake from the metal gear solid games. I look forward to this new endeavor of the X-Men series. We wont be seeing any of these actors in the relaunch of the X-Men and leave it up to Disney to ruin that as well with this whole new LGBTQ movement in the Disney offices. But hey I look forward to the X2 review, keep em coming Munchies.

Saints_Madness

Hela was also spot on with her observation about their powers and Wolverine. He was never super-strong it was about his heart and bravery. They are all well written characters with their own weaknesses and strengths. None of this Cpt Marvel girl boss / Mary-Sue writing.

Andy Worthington

You've got to love Jean-Grey, Rogue and Storm. Three of my favourite superheroes. It's just a pity that the Hollywood writers these days have no clue how to actually write a strong female character like these, who actually appeal to people. Don't mess with the girls in the x-men universe! Oh, and awesome reaction by the way girls. Looking forward to the next one! p.s. what they do to Logan in this movie is nothing compared to what they did to him in First Class.

Andy Worthington

I for one don't think we have enough of Chi singing along to the movie intros.

Andy Worthington

Toad has always been one of my favorites. He always felt like a wildcard among the baddies

Daryl

KPop Demon Hunters PG 2025 ‧ Musical/Action ‧ 1h 36m I just watch this with my kids I think everybody should watch this this is amazing the animation the story the songs I'm not into K-pop now I am

Jay Wolfe

X2 and days of future past are my favorites

Jeremy McCabe

Excellent reaction. I really enjoyed watching this again ... with you. Over the years since the year 2000 when it was released I have watched it so many times - too many, in fact, because for a long time it was the first movie about Marvel comic characters (unless you count Howard the Duck, which I don't). Watching it with you helped me see it with fresh eyes. ... A lot of the back story between Eric and Charles gets covered in the X-Men: First Class movie, which if I remember correctly, was released after the third X-men movie, X-Men Last Stand. It was 1974 when I was 10 years old, I read the first X-men comic, where the X-men and Magneto were introduced - it had originally been published in 1963.

Stephen Paynter

I think the girls will like X-Men: Days of Future Past the most.

Robert Meza

Please react to Hellboy (2004) and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008). You won't regret it.

np86

Cant wait for Part 2 .. its the best of all of them. Also the 2nd Wolverine Spin of gonna be interesting

JessDMorgan

For cozy shows, really consider Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Deep Space Nine is arguably even better, and I think you would both really like the slower, relaxing pace, the romances, the humor, and how they try to resolve conflicts with peace and thoughtfulness (change of pace from all the action packed stuff.) Plus, Professor X is the captain of TNG!

Mike G

The actor that played Magneto also played Gandalf in Lord of the Rings. This was the first X-Men movie that I watched when I was a kid. Just remember that this is the movie that Deadpool was making fun of. He named his crew "X-Force" to be more inclusive than "X-Men". Chi and Hella have the superpower of stealing my attention 😂.

The Simple Simp

Even better when Jennifer Lawrence played Mystique in X-Men: First Class.

The Simple Simp

I look forward to you girls watching X-Men: First Class, which goes back to the formation of the X-Men

Robert Meza

Gonna hella watch this reaction 🤪

Daryl

Great reaction. I love this movie. Was a lot of fun watching you two experience it. And of course the funny commentary. Chi reads Hella's mind "You're hungry." Hella "I'm hungry." 🤣🤣

Looney

Mystique is my favorite character, for many reasons.

Eric Muirhead

they don't seem to remember the film 'Logan' at all, you'd think that movie would be pretty memorable, they don't seem to remember Charles either, I think Hella confused Rogue with Laura from 'Logan' at the end there, Wolverine does have a habit of being a mentor figure to young girls for some reason, anyway I think it would be best to rewatch that movie after they watch the x-men movies to get the full effect. It was funny seeing that Hella clearly recognised Ian McKellen but couldn't put together that he played Gandalf, probably the lack of a beard that threw her off. Anyway it's a good time to rewatch these films considering a certain film releasing next year, good choice munchies! Remember the x-men timeline can be confusing so just go with it, also look out for after credits scenes, not all of them have one but some do, the one at the end of X-Men: The Last Stand is pretty important.

Jonathan Kidman

Continue this series if you are interested in Jean Grey and Logan.

Nhia Vang

Wolverine's "power" is only fast regenerative healing, enhanced senses and enhanced strength (he's stronger than a normal human). His 'natural' claws are bone claws. His entire skeleton (including claws) was coated with Adamantium, making his bones unbreakable. Adamantium is STRONGER than Vibranium in the comics. There are many other more powerful mutants (and superheroes). But these films made the character very popular. Hugh Jackman gets considerably "more buff" in every sequel. The guy trains like a beast every time he plays Wolverine.

Pinitchio

Anyone remember when they would watch 2 Alien movies and not the next 7, or only 2 out of 6 Terminator movies..

SM

i think these are all the X-Men movies X-Men (2000) X2: X-Men United (2003) X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) X-Men: First Class (2011) The Wolverine (2013) X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) Logan (2017) X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)

King Bob

What a pleasant surprise! Didn’t expect this.

Angelos Saniotis

Actually the poll was for MCU, not Marvel movies. This movie is not MCU and neither was Spider-Man animations or the Tobey Maguire Spiderman

King Bob

I am very happy to see them start the X-Men series. There's a lot of great stuff in these movies, they pioneered the super hero genre after Batman and Blade (also X-men comics and cartoons were a huge part of my childhood). To those complaining, IIRC the poll was specifically whether to continue MCU. X-men is not MCU it was before MCU. Not everyone was voting that because they don't want more super hero films, many voted that because they specifically did not like where Disney took MCU after Infinity War. Personally I still very much want them to watch specifically WandaVision from the MCU (arguably one of my favorite arcs of MCU), but I don't think they do TV reactions.

Anna Kyruin

I would watch your second reaction to the Deadpool movies now that you have context.

Cornelius P. Stranglefart, Attorney at Law D.D.S.

i like xmen....

King Bob

That was a big surprise, I wasn't expecting X-Men. But I'm glad we're keeping Superhero Sunday and I think you'll both will like the movies. This movie started the big superhero movie boom of the last 25 years and I think it stands the test of time pretty well. I always see Wolverine on the same level as Spiderman. They both have cool abilities and are strong, but they're not overpowered like other superheroes. What I like most about the X-Men universe is the variety of superpowers that you see. It was a brilliant idea by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby to simply invent the mutant gene and present mutants as a natural evolution. Before that, you always needed an origin story about how the hero got his powers and writing a good origin story is difficult.😅 I'm already looking forward to next week, X-Men 2 is generally considered to be one of the best superhero movies. That was an awesome reaction, as always, ladies, keep up the good work.💜

Digitalversager

I hope they do The Wolverine movie

Danny Garlin

I'm so glad they are doing the X-Men movies. Hopefully they do a rewatch for Logan and Deadpool.

Paul De'Armond

Magneto isn't in Star Wars - he's Gandolf the Grey from Lord of the Rings !

Gregory A Mann

FYI, Cyclops is a mythological creature that is like a large man with only one eye. When Scott where's his visor he appears to only have one large eye. That's why he's called Cyclops. Hence Wolverines joke when he said "keep your eye open" instead of "eyes".

Joel Purvis

I for one am loving Superhero Sundays and I absolutely love the first two X-Men movies (some of the others are very good also). For those that are complaining, I totally understand if these movies aren't for you, but they put out a ton of content in other genres. So enjoy those and let those of us that are really enjoying the Superhero reactions enjoy these. There is something for everyone on this channel and I'm here for all of it!

Joel Purvis

It should have been watched before Deadpool. There are still many great movies worth watching, and we get an alright, mostly entertaining, old marvel movie. There are still classics to watch like the original Rocky. Also, am I the only one who wants a few good romcoms here and there, Notting Hill for example?

Hoogie

You had a couple of guesses about where you knew the Magneto actor from and I'm a little surprised you didn't get that he also played Gandalf.

SM

The X-Men movies are good but I thought the poll winner was to not do anymore Marvel movies... come on

Alex Anderson

This is what the people want! They voted mandalorian over arrested development and always sunny!

tullius cicero

yes 👍😊😊the X-men movies are awesome.. thanks a lot

Johnny Sondergard

When people voted in favour of not continuing the Marvel-jouney it was probably not because they wanted you to react on every other superhero-movie instead. You know there are quite some interesting movies that does not originate from comics, belive it or not. And you have reacted to almost everything worth seeing of superhero-movies already....

aaarskog

I don't mind them reacting to the X-Men movies, but I don't think this was really people's expectation when they voted to "stop MCU and move on to something else." Looks like it's another 2 months of Superhero Sunday.

SM

So glad they jumped to X-Men and off of Venom

Jef Etters

Yes! I was hoping you would do X-Men at some point.

John L

Yes!!!!

SultanOfSwing

I know there will be complaints from some about continuing Marvel reactions. I know it’s a different studio, but it is still a Marvel comic. As long as you ladies are enjoying the movies and giving genuine reactions, that’s all that matters. Plus, the X-Men movies will give all the background on Logan.
