Kong: Skull Island Reaction

Kong: Skull Island Reaction

Do Naomi Watts King Kong. We’ve reccomedded her movies before (The Ring)

Hot Syrup

Every human in this movie is an idiot, with '''possibly''' a couple of exceptions. Since this is obviously another universe where our laws of physics, chemistry, and biology don't apply, I'll allow for the average IQ and Wisdom to be 20-50% lower. -Ships handle storms and bad weather better than helicopters. -During the first Kong encounter, the helicopters fly in a small circle with Kong in the center. They all fire their machine guns at Kong. This is known as a "circular firing squad." It's hard to aim a machine gun precisely from a moving helicopter, and it's certain that some of the rounds would miss Kong and be hitting helicopters on the opposite side of the circle. -Cube/Square Law applied to biology. -The lady photographer said that she had been embedded in MAT-V-SOG. The movie took place at the time of the American ground forces pullout, 1971. MAT-V-SOG was a secret (best of the best of the best) special forces group operating 'illegally' in Cambodia and Laos to combat North Vietnam forces operating 'illegally' in Cambodia and Laos. It's exitance was not known publicly until the 1980s. And they would NOT have had a civilian photographer embedded. Sorry, my fingers are too tired to list all the idiocies. On the other hand, the movie makers were not idiots. "Giant monkey punches giant lizard! Pow! Pow! Giant monkey rips apart giant octopus! Rip! Rip! Pretty girl falls for pretty boy! Smooch! Smooch! We'll make millions! Ka-Ching! Ka-Ching!" There is a special movie category that KSI fits into, that is, something that you enjoy while gritting your teeth at everything awful about it. But as always, love you ladies' reactions.

With multiple MCU alums in the cast this is my go to monster universe movie

I totally agree that they did an amazing job with Kong's eyes, they did such a great job with his expressions, it's very impressive. And the native non-speakers had such a presence as well, such a great showcase of non-verbal communication. 💜 Vietnam is going so hard on looking stunning in this, you deserve to feel proud of what a beautiful country you have. 😘🥰

This was a great watch. Loved the reaction. And Hella decided to choose violence by saying "I bet it's a snake." Poor Chi felt the betrayal there 🤣

Looney

I'm jumping the bandwagon too. 2005's King Kong!! Jack Black! Director of Lord of the Rings! 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Daryl

Wait WW2 guy was flying a P-51? That was one brave Japanese pilot going after a P-51 in a Zero. Brave or suicidal. Lol

Peter Jackson's King Kong from 2005 is also really good and is a remake of the original. I didn't know this one was filmed in Vietnam. It makes sense, because of the legends of dragons in Ha Long Bay. I've been there once when I was a kid. I'm glad that you understood the similarities that this film shows to the Vietnam War. Chi should face her fears and watch Snakes On A Plane. Starring Samuel L. Jackson (who played Nick Fury).

The Simple Simp

The Peter Jackson version is a must watch.

TheEnd187

John Wayne was a very Popular Movie star in Westerns and War movies.

I definitely do want to visit Vietnam it's on my bucket list so get your tour guy ready!!! This movie review was fun the movie itself was fast-paced action movie more like an adventure movie but wait till the next one..

Chi was on the verge of fainting. LOL

Hollin Lange

The War he was asking about was WW2 in which Vietnam fought on the side of the Allies against Japan.

When I was a very little kid, maybe 6 years old, my dad knew how much I loved monster movies and, especially Godzilla movies, so he showed the the 1963 version of Godzilla vs Kong. I might have been small but my love for Godzilla then was great. Hmmm, maybe not as great as Ivey's. The first King Kong movie was actually made in 1933. King Kong is stop-motion animation, so very interesting to watch just to see how they did things before computers. They remade it in 1976 with Jessica Lange, and then Peter Jackson, the director of Lord of the Rings, remade King Kong again in 2005. Andy Serkis, who played Gollum, did the motion capture for Kong. I still think the old Godzilla movies are a lot of fun and some impressive film making considering it's guys and gals in rubber suits fighting it out in model cities - much like the end of Hot Fuzz. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974) and Monster Zero 1965 are two of my favorites.

That was great ladies !!! Yes Kong is the protector and man with his little guns never do listen. I also think King Kong from 2005 would be a great watch. It has silly Jack Black in it from School of Rock and a whole bunch of itty bitty creatures that you all will like😀😀 I think it was a very well done remake and didn't really get the recognition it deserved.

In this version I always wondered why they didn't keep the Helicopters out of Kongs range?

John West

Find the Original King Kong 1933.Always Lovely Ladies, Vietnam should be very Proud.

John West

There is also King Kong (2005) directed by Peter Jackson. Same director as Lord of the Rings.

Great choice, Peter Jacksons 'King Kong' is also worth a look.

I think it's good, technically brilliant, but also a bit too long. I think it's the best choice for experiencing the original King Kong story These days. Yes, I know the 1933 original is a classic in movie history, and there's also the first remake from, I think, 1976, which is also a classic in its own right. But I think the Peter Jackson version, despite its length, is the best version for new viewers.

Digitalversager

Chi recognized Loki straight away.😅 It's funny that so many MCU actors have acted in the Monsterverse so far. When I see the ladies react to the monster fights. I always think that's exactly how my brothers and I must have looked when we used to watch wrestling. I love that you ladies like this movies so much. Kong Skull Island is definitely a great movie. Above all, it has the best human storyline of the Monsterverse movies. At the end, Chi explained very well why Godzilla and Kong are fighting each other in the next Movie: "There can only be one king." I'm already looking forward to next week. That was an awesome reaction, ladies, as always!💜

Digitalversager

Missed? What's the point of seeing Kong as a giant gorilla and then back to upright, titanic Yeti with much more pronounced humanoid traits? They can release that reaction tomorrow or 2 years from now and won't affect the Monsterverse journey in any way. Just be ready for no monkey for the first 70 min with the extended cut

CrashTestWalrus

Nice 😊😊

Johnny Sondergard

I haven't seen a lot of the new Monster films, but what's the consensus on the Peter Jackson King Kong? I remember liking it quite a bit when I was young.

Henry N.

Best human characters to care about, that's for sure. In all other Monsterverse movies if there's humans on the screen I'm on my phone, go for a piss or my mind just drifts away into random bs

CrashTestWalrus

Chi is an expert at recognizing faces, I never recognized Loki, even after she identified him. I looked it up, it is Tom Hiddleston.

Piranther

The BEST of the "Monsterverse" series, in my opinion. 😁👍
