This movie is perfect. it took 15 years or so of build up. The villain actually has a very typical story in a movie but for a super hero. The courage to let the villain win is extremely rare.

Not sure if my math is off here but shouldn't ant man and the wasp already be available for lower tier? Usually 2 weeks is how long it took for new mcu movie to release every other sunday but now its been 3 weeks since it released. wondering if something changed?

Hang in there gang! Especially you Hela. All will not be lost. This is war (even if it is comic book style war), and there will be both loss and victories. Too much like real life. Don't wait a year to watch Endgame, even though those of us watching the original releases in theaters had to.
I find it very weird that there are a lot of people in the world today who agree with Thano's plan. Speaking as a biologist*, it just wouldn't work the way he said it would.

If you don't like the Guardians movies, Winter Soldier, Civil War, Black Panther, Infinity War, Endgame and other S tier Marvel movies... that is not being a film snob that is just odd. Even the vast majority of "film snobs" rate the best of the MCU very highly because it's undeniable. There are mid and even a few bad movies in the MCU, especially after Endgame, but at its peak the MCU is undeniably exceptional. If you're not jamming along and laughing and/or sobbing at the Guardians movies you might be a robot.

At the end of Captain America: The First Avenger, when Red Skull picks up the Tesseract (the vessel containing the space stone), he is pulled into space. This could explain why he's on Vormir.

Man after the dumpster fires a lot of the MCU put out post Endgame (other than Deadpool 3, GOT 3, Moon Knight, No Way Home, Far From Home), and few others I got super burnt out.
seeing Thunderbolts return to great MCU formula makes me so happy! None of this forced young avengers diversity bullshit they were trying to pedal for 5 years +

Hella I'm impressed when you said to build a mirror dimension and you recognize red skull. You ladies are really into these films. You have to take a spider-man break before you continue moving forward. You Just have to. This is by far my favorite reaction and I was expecting it. This movie is #6 in the all time worldwide box office making 2 billion and Endgame comes in second. But of course because of the 3D movies beginnings Avatar is still number one. But for real, Spider-man break.

I never read the comics outside a glimpse here or there in school; that said, 1:29:30 I still have no idea why red skull was on vormir lol. The soul stone is a piece of the universe basically, making it billions of years old and red skull died post '40s? Weird to throw him in there as if he's potentially important to the mcu (maybe in the comics he was reborn or something; no clue)

Thanos basically did a cull of all life in the universe because the universe has finite resources and by doing this made it easier for the life that was left to survive.
Humans do culls all the time on animals for the same reason while also saving crops etc

Luckily, Marvel and the Russo Brothers(the directors) filmed Infinity War and Endgame back to back, but we still had to wait an entire year to find out what happens after the events of Infinity War.
I saw both movies in VERY crowded theaters, and that was the first time movies have felt more like a sports event than a movie with people cheering and letting out groans of anguish.
Peter Quill was never one of my favorite characters, but this film made me really dislike him. Star-Lord, more like Star-Dummy.
Hella was really fooled by Captain America's beard. haha. But, we have to remember at this point Captain America is a fugitive so it would make sense that he would grow a beard to be less recognizable. I've always thought this is also the reason that Black Widow has blonde hair in this movie, instead of the usual red.
After this film, I would occasionally see graffiti in real life that read THANOS WAS RIGHT. Or, someone would say that when a place was too crowded or lines were too long.

I second the Spider-Man comment. You need to watch those first. I don't really recall the Amazing set but the first Sam Raimi one is a good Spider-Man origins flick and the second one is a really good movie.

I've been waiting for this moment ever since you reacted to Iron Man. This is really one of the best reactions from you ladies so far!💜
It was so cool that Hella recognized Red Skull right away. I didn't realize it until later rewatches. In my defense, by the time I watched Infinity War, I hadn't seen Captain America 1 in several years.😅
There is a certain logic to Thanos' madness, which is what makes him such a good villain.
Basically, he's right; the universe's resources are finite. If there is too much overpopulation, it could lead to the end of all life.
But his attempt at a solution is just way too extreme.
Despite the sad ending, this is my absolute favorite Marvel movie.
Now we have to wait two movies until Endgame, I can hardly wait.🙂
By the way, if you really want to react to the Sam Raimi Spiderman movies and the Amazing Spiderman movies before you watch the last MCU Spiderman movie No Way Home, you should start doing that soon.😉

Well, I knew this movie would devastate Hella, and I was not wrong. She broke down so many times I lost count. Even Chi looked liked someone had gut punched her. Now comes Ms. Marvel, then finally End Game. Hopefully they will watch Loki since they love him so much after they finish End Game. Great reaction Munchies!

I'll be honest. I've never seen a Marvel film that I liked, except for Sam Raimi's Spiderman 2, and maybe Ironman 1. I guess I'm an awful film snob. The only reason I've watched these is for your reactions, which make the films enjoyable for me! Maybe my bias is that I believe the Marvel formula/model has completely destroyed the middle budget film.
I have high hopes for this one though. Actually I've been very eager to see it since everyone speaks so highly of it and the other one (Endgame?).
So I'm definitely looking forward to see if Thanos is as great of a character as people say. All I know about this is that every dies at the end or something, which sounds pretty interesting/bold for a Hollywood movie. I'll post my reaction after viewing, not that anyone cares.

And there we have it, one of the greatest movies in Marvel's list to have hit theaters all those years ago. So many tears, so many emotions, from those who died from that snapped, and those who had to live knowing they lost to the mad titan. From here on out, everyone knew. We were heading toward the endgame now

Until now, it's been a lighthearted journey of exploration and satire, but this is where things really go sideways.... and I'm reminded of Q when he introduced the Enterprise to the Borg for the first time:
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross. But it's not for the timid." ~ Q

Man, this is so fucking good. I love Thanos and I loved every second he was on the screen. Watching him set those clowns straight never gets old. He basically slammed his dick on the table and said "That's how things are gonna be" and... he won. Considering previous MCU villains it's a miracle how good Thanos is. Maybe Killmonger comes close, but Thanos is the S Tier Darth Vader rank. What a great film
