2 Late but Chadwick Boseman who played T'Challa died of cancer. After the movie came out Chadwick appeared in public a few months later. He was very skinny and a lot of people made fun of him because of it. The people thought he was just skinny and weak to act another part in a movie. People were very cruel about his weight though. A couple of months later he died of cancer. Chadwick never told anyone he was dying of cancer even as he played Black Panther. In this movie Chadwick had cancer but no one knew it. Everyone realized how cruel they were and felt very sad for it.

Funny cross over fact, Andy Serkis and martin Freeman were called the Tolkien White guys for this film. (Play on words the both starred in the Hobbit,)

Black Panter is a top-tier MCU movie. It might be the overall best, to be honest. Also check out the Rocky and then Creed movies.

Dear MovieMunchies, I love your reactions to all sorts of things, but especially the MCU. ... The MCU however will soon (after Avengers: Endgame) get complicated, with TV shows as well as movies being part of the story that the "MCU" is telling, and it is all intertwined. I recommend that you set yourself to watch all the MCU TV shows and MCU movies in release order, so that you met characters and plot-points in the right order. Many reactors bundle up two or three TV show episodes to make a single "movie-like" reaction, and so that the TV shows do not drag on for too long.
It also gets complicated with Marvel movies and Marvel TV-shows not part of Disney-MCU also being incorporated to some extent into the MCU. Many of these can be ignored, but it would be best if specific such movies are reacted to before the cross over into later MCU movies.
If you are interested, I could post as a comment on your Patreon page a detailed guide to this, but only if you would like that.
Keep up the great work ... and really glad your channel has been saved from the troubles it had recently.

Yes, isn't it great. It is a good attempt to resist the pervasive negative racial sterotypes.

Another great reaction, you two. 🫡🫡🫡 In the comics Klaw' (that is his name) didn't look human and was even more powerful. He still lives in the comics and M'Baku is one of Black Panther's greatest enemies, but, in this film he's an ally.

I'm glad that I always thought these marvel movies looked dumb, so I never bothered watching them. Now I get to experience them all for the first time and its better than expected. I didn't realize everything was connected.

It's part of their Culture and Tradition. That's why they do it. They CHOOSE to do it. Not everybody (or race) has the same belief system.

Welcome to your first Ryan Coogler film. In the future, you should check out the rest of his filmography: Fruitvale Station, Creed (tho I'd recommend watching the Rocky films first since this is a direct spinoff), Wakanda Forever and Sinners.

Hello Munchies.
This is one of my favorite MCU movies. All the characters who oppose each other are right, or at least relatable, in their own ways.
I really loved KILLMONGER as a character and Michael B. Jordan plays him with an anger and hostility that's super fun to watch.
The film is directed by Ryan Cogler. Cogler is maybe the next big director that will emerge. He teamed up with Michael B. Jordan again to make the CREED films, but you will need to watch the ROCKY films before you watch those films.
Cogler's latest film SINNERS also stars Michael B. Jordan and is VERY successful. Though it's a horror movie, it's so much more than that and has a lot to say.
Martin Freeman plays Ross, but you might have recognized him as Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit. Andy Serkis who played KLAUE was also in Lord of the Rings but you might not have recognized him because he played Gollum.

The only thing I always find a bit weird about Wakanda is that it's the most advanced civilization in the world, yet the royal heir is decided by a fight to the death.
That was an awesome reaction, ladies, as always!💜 Next week, it's finally Infinity War's turn for a reaction, I can hardly wait.🙂

I knew this movie would affect Hella. The Munchies did exactly what the movie wanted. They started out hating Killmonger, and ending up wanting him to be saved and redeemed. This is definitely the most tragic storyline in the MCU (imo). It hits hard because it’s not some alien invasion or foreign country, but a family member who was wronged. Great reaction ladies. You never disappoint.

Yes! This is one of the best, and most tragic of the MCU movies. And we’re about to start Infinity War! The Munchies won’t survive it.
