Game of Thrones 3x9 Reaction

Game of Thrones 3x9 Reaction

Comments

Poor sweet Hella. I knew the red wedding would hurt her feelings deeply.

Jef Etters

legitimate trauma just occurred

collect

nah come on, X-File didn't age well I still remember the alien space ghost episode, kooky and silly.

King Bob

It has probably already been said, but her brother and Uncle did not betray them. It was Roose Bolton who was wearing the armor and he betrayed them. Also, that wasn't "romantic music" that was the Lannister's death song. Oh, and welcome to autumn Summer children . . . . .Winter is coming.

RichieBIV

Once you girls are done with Game of Thornes. You could give X-Files a try

1982JMN

Eh, saying someone is a major character with the most plot is a spoiler though because it eliminates the worry and concern you’d have not knowing their fate at any moment, which this show does so well at making you worry that anyone regardless who they are could be dead at any moment. It’s best to not say who is a major character or for how long

fan

Not really. No plot details, just some info about chapter count from the books. I was just afraid they'd stop here. But it looks like they aren't because the YouTube video says that 3x10 and 4x1 are up for early access. Phew..

Chris

I know this was a tough episode….i felt the same but the best is yet to come! It gets so good. Love ur reaction Hella…..u both are so awesome.

K B

Chi took the Red Wedding very well, she is one tough cookie, i like that. Hella on the other hand lmao

Scottish Smurf

I remember watching this and thinking, "What a Mind F@#K!" However, it is a long and curious, and interesting adventurous journey ahead. I hope you stay the course. PS - I was secretly waiting for this episode, ... sorry it took such a heavy emotional toll on you Hella.

Cro2

Don't quit Hella! Don't forget: The North Remembers!

Prometheus

I'm trying to be encouraging.

TippedDuke

Please don't give up Hella. This is a brutal episode, and what happens to the Starks is gut-wrenching, but Arya, Sansa, Bran, Jon, and Rickon are all still here -- and it's worth it, trust me! Without giving anything away, one thing the books and the show does brilliantly is to make us THINK some characters are the main characters (Ned, Robb), where in reality they aren't. One way to see Game of Thrones is a coming of age story for the Stark children. And it's an amazing story! Small hint: Arya has the 3rd most chapters out of any character in the books, so she's a very important character in the story! :)

Chris

Oh... and Hela, this story does not end here. "The North remembers... "

marc five

I could be wrong, but I think it was this very episode that kind of got this whole "reactions" phenomenon to start! Folks (who already knew what happened) started filming themselves with their friends to record their reactions to this scene because it was SO shocking. There really hadn't been a moment quite like that on a television show before. Watching how others reacted turned out to be very entertaining! Who knew? Congrats guys! You finally watched the show that kind of started Movie Munchies!

marc five

Jon Snow is the main male character in this series. Rob Stark is a subplot. It's done. Move on. Winter is coming.

Mr Jackpots

Dear sweet Hela. I did warn you when you started this series that there would be things you couldn't unsee. There will be more.

Mr Jackpots

It really won't.

Mr Jackpots

What are these Bastards doing telling you little doves to watch this. You guys should watch “Snakes on a Plane”. And Hella, shhhh, don’t tell Chi.

Rick

I once read that the showrunners liked the political intrigue in GoT but didn't like the fantasy elements. That's why they cut out as many of the fantasy elements as they could. I have read the Dark Tower books, they are very good. I even liked the movie, it's a shame it wasn't successful enough for the whole series to be made into a film. I don't know if I would recommend reading the GoT books today. It is now clear that Martin is too old to be able to write the planned seven books. At this point in time it is not even clear when the sixth book, which Martin has been writing for 12 years, will be published. It is such a shame because the story in the books is so much better than in the series.

Digitalversager

this is a tough episode to process. thank you for watching the show and i hope you will continue watching... BOTH of you! :) the guy in the armour is Roose Bolton, and the guy who went to "find a tree to piss on" is Brynden "Blackfish" Tully, i think you were mixing the two in the discussion afterwards. Roose Bolton is the traitor, Boltons are from the North and they are supposed to be on the Starks' side. but he conspired with the Lannisters and Freys and he even said "Lannisters send their regards". Blackfish is Edmure's uncle and he avoided the massacre by luckily being out of the hall.

Igor

it most definitely IS a spoiler. please don't say who's gonna get or not get something, that ruins the first-time watching experience

Igor

One episode is enough if they were commenting. And actually how many episodes should depend on commenting activity.

Stelios

Will they answer? It seems they don't do commenting 😒

Stelios

Wow! That seems awesome but I see why they cut it, it's probably a lot to add into an already full story but I didn't know that. I'm not big into books, I've only ever read Stephen King novels but I might consider the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series. Have you heard of Stephen Kings 'The Dark Tower'?

Bangors Mostbaked

Now you know our trauma. LOL

Eric Muirhead

The song that the band starts to play when they lock the doors is called the Rains of Castamere. It's a song about how some families rebelled against Tywin Lannister killed them all, so this is a hint that Walter Frey has switched sides to the Lannisters.

Steven Roy

I was pissed when this episode came out. I almost stoped watching 😂 The Starks ain’t done though. Gotta keep watching

Jaura

52:20 Stark family? What Stark family lol

Thalanoth

I remember my friend who read the books, he desperately wanted to come over and watch the episode with me. We didn't usually watch together, so I thought it was odd. Ultimately, he could not make it, so I just watched it on my own. I realized that he had wanted to see my reaction, lol, but I still called him at midnight to rant.

Dajefe70

Yea the showrunners already knew they'd never get further in the books since Martin is so slow lol. Writing out Lady Stoneheart was writing on the wall; teehee

Thalanoth

Poor Hela. To see Hela and Chi sitting there with their smiles and good cheer at the beginning of the wedding, knowing that "The Red Wedding" was going to happen, was quite amusing. I must admit that seeing Hela's heart break did bring a tear to my eye. Hela, don't stop watching!!! All will be OK!

TippedDuke

Hella, I hope you're okay. Make Chi buy you some ice cream.

Steven Roy

This is such a tough episode. I remember when I first read the books and was there. It was such a shocking moment. And poor Arya so close to being reunited with her family and then the world falls apart for her again. Again, cheers to Sandor Clegane. For me, characters like him are the unsung heroes of Game of Thrones. There is another big change here compared to the books. In the books, Lady Catelyn Stark's story is not over. The Freys throw her body into the river where it is found by the Brotherhood Without Banners (that was the group Arya was last with). Beric Dondarrion, the man who has been resurrected many times by the Lord of Light, then gives her his life force and she is actually brought back to life. But she has been dead for too long and doesn't come back fully. She is only obsessed with revenge on the Freys and the Brotherhood Without Banners calls her Lady Stoneheart and hunts the Freys for her and kills them. Since the books are not yet at the end of the story, we don't know what her final fate will be. That was a great reaction ladies and cheer up.💜

Digitalversager

I feel so bad for Hela. :( Don't worry, there are still good Starks left and "The North remembers." The bad people may survive longer, but eventually they receive their comeuppance... Also "the guy in the armor" is Roose Bolton. You may remember him from a recent episode where he spoke with Jaime Lannister and Brianne (Brainy xD) at dinner. After he released Jaime, you may also remember Jaime telling him to let Robb know that "the Lannisters send their regards." His part in the story is not done yet.

James Hull

Hella called it when she saw Robb making all of the mistakes in the previous seasons. He betrayed Frey after making a deal to pass through their land. He then tore apart his other alliance when they released Jaime.

KD

Upcoming Season 4 is my favorite one.

puppers

Not a spoiler if it's only the easily predictable parts. And Hanna need motivation to continue watching.

Alec Dacyczyn

This guy is posting spoilers

Magnet Hand

You are such a sweet heart, Hela. I'm always touched by the depth of your empathy and compassion. Can't wait for the next episode and season 4!

Michael Fredrick Malone

This is it! This was THE episode that the people who suggested you watch GoT wanted to see your reaction to. There are several more very memorable episodes. But this was the big one. Don't worry. Walder Frey gets what he has coming. Arya has quite a story arc... When you post this on YouTube you should include "The Red Wedding" in the title and thumbnail to maximize clicks. That's what GoT fans call this. When it first aired people who had read the books and already knew what was going to happen recorded their friends reactions and put them on YT. This is what started the whole 'Reaction Video' genre.

Alec Dacyczyn

Cheer up Hela, the show gets better. I didn't realize this episode was so popular for reaction videos. I appreciate the time and effort you put into your productions.

Grumpy Monk

Don't give up Hella. It was a sad episode but their is still the other Stark children left and a lot of story to be told. You will end up seeing many more good moments in the future seasons. Of course there will still be some sad ones too. It may seem like the odds are stacked up against the Starks but you need to see how it all plays out. One thing in this series is what comes around goes around. Don't give up on the series Hella .you will miss some great moments.

Kawliga48

Chi, the man in armor at the wedding, is Lord Bolton and not the groom's uncle (uncle of Catelyn Stark, Edmure Tully and Lysa Arry, known as Blackfish). Lord Bolton supported Robb in the war. He also had Winterfell liberated from Theon Greyjoy by his bastard son. Now he has switched to the Lannister side.

Armarbu

He was the guy who just made a deal to let Jamie go free for favor with the lanisters just last few episodes ago

SlavicGold

soo the sentence "the lannister send their regards" didn't give you any clues ladies? lol i love this

EvilSaiya

Finally! The weeks and weeks i have been waiting for this.

Oscar Landrum

The Red Wedding... If I recall, this episode really helped popularize some of the early reaction videos. People who had seen the episode ahead of time or read the books and knew what was coming set up cameras to record their friends watching. It was the first time I watched a reaction video.

JK2222

Also, "The Blackfish" is Edmure's uncle. He was the one who left the banquet hall to go and "find a tree"...

David Collins

As horrible as that was, you ladies handled it better than I thought you could. Thank you for enduring this; we know it was tough. But there are brighter days coming in this show. Without pain, happiness would not feel so joyful. 💔❤️‍🩹❤️

Bare Thomas

This one is going to hurt. I am sorry ladies.

Cornelius P. Stranglefart, Attorney at Law D.D.S.

Most of the questions you are asking get answered in the next episode, but the person who was a traitor is Roose Bolton, he wore armour and got slapped. He is not related to the Starks. Lord Edmure is Rob's uncle and was the one who got married and carried away.

King Bob

loved the reaction, ya it hits hard, even for people who read the books. there were two cuts in this reaction tho your guess is right chi, but your affiliation with familly is wrong. bolton did betray the starks, it can be seen in the reason you pointed out. but bolton has nothing to do with the guy who married the pretty girl. the guy in the armor is not the uncle. bolton betrayed them with something to do with the lannisters thats why he said 'the lannisters send their regard. also dont worry if you are down enough it can only get up.

Someone

Heres to the young wolf! Arooo! Forever Young.

Gadvance

Hella you are not alone in feeling like you can't continue to watch, I felt exactly the same way and almost didn't continue because I was angry at the creators of the show. But wow am I glad I did continue to watch. The best season of the series is next, things get more excited and less depressing. So hang in there Hella, you just experienced the worst of it. Whatever tragedy comes next you will be able to take it since there are more ups then downs IMO. :)

Milvo

sweet summer children no more. Poor hela with the head hang

Chris Martin

This episode, much like the episode where Ned was killed, has a very steep emotional price. But now, the price has been paid. Stay the course, Hella. Don't walk away before you see what your tears have purchased. I warned you guys back in season 1 that this show would break your heart again. But I say this again, for every heartbreak, they will reward you, in time, for your perseverance. In the USA we have a common saying, "every dog has it's day." It's a variation of the saying, "what goes around, comes around." I would offer up this word of encouragement. Every WOLF also has its day... Also, the directors aren't really to blame for the harshness that this show frequently presents us with. The writer of the books (A Song of Ice and Fire) George R. R. Martin is the one truly responsible. This episode plays out to a very large degree, very similarly to as it did in the book. The same is true for virtually all of the most atrocious things that happen in the TV series.

David Collins

Despite how bad the "red wedding" feels, there are still a lot of Starks that we must root for: Arya, Sansa, Bran and Rickon as well as Jon Snow Then there is Daenerys and her dragons, Tyrion and the whole situation in King's Landing.

phoenix241

Please don't give up, Hella. There is a lot you will like in future episodes.

phoenix241

Poor Hella. I knew this would affect her a lot. But there is still a lot to look forward to and a lot of good characters to follow. It hurts that so many of the Starks are massacred at the wedding, but at the same time it's important for the drama. If they were the "hero family" that never suffered any, it would be boring.

phoenix241

It gets better .You still need to watch 2 episodes a week.

Scotty Dawg

The "Red wedding" is definitely one of the most shocking scenes in any tv show ever. I've seen so many people have been close to spoiling it in the comment section, but it seems the surprise and shock was kept intact.

phoenix241

"I wonder what is the result of all the characters..." Clubber Lang(Rocky 3): "Pain..."

Manospondylus

Been dreading it 😩🤪

Daryl

Winter is here….. for some.

Daryl
