You are obviously entitled to your opinion but you are definitely in the minority.

"They've brought forth juniper berries!" "Of course they've brought forth juniper berries - they're juniper bushes, what did you expect?"

Prometheus

Good reaction, but I feel it sometimes gets hectic when there are three of you reacting to the same movie, especially when it's a dialogue-heavy movie like this one, it gets hard to hear what's happening with the movie and with the reaction.

Prometheus

SEIZE HIM (Brandon)!! PERSECUTE HIM!

I’m a new subscriber & this is my first time ever on Patreon but after binging your reactions I had to subscribe! As a British fan, it’s nice to see you reacting to some British films too! So I hope you can also react to Shaun of the Dead, which is a great British horror comedy with zombies :)

chuugummy

I didn’t know that! Trivia, and facts, and sharing. Thanks.

Duncan

That is very possible. MP, despite their silliness, were quite cerebral with their comedy. Since this is poking fun at Christianity and other religions, it is quite possible they used that passage as this crazy allegory. Food for thought, for sure.

Always an ‘interesting’ reaction from you 😂 This stands out as Monty Python’s movie masterpiece (discounting ‘And Now For Something Completely Different’, which is them professionally re-doing sketches for an American release, and is well worth a watch).*** There’s a very good debate that John Cleese and Michael Palin did on television after this (with a priest, I forget his name) about the controversy of this film, and yet now it seems very tame! And yet, my absolute favourite joke in this whole movie is….. “you haven’t given us time to hide!!” 😂 (and of course “he wanks as high as any in Rome!”) ***(and Live at the Hollywood Bowl. The argument clinic sketch they do on that is absolute perfection). A Fish Called Wanda or Fawlty Towers next….? 👋🏻 🙏🏻

Duncan

Don't get me wrong, I like Monty Python movies in general, but the whole "milk the joke until milking the joke becomes the joke" gets kind of old. They do like to take mildly humorous idea and make a long scene from it.

Brandon

No sense of humor?

Certain films always accumulate certain stories that have to be told every time the movie is reacted to .... for The Life of Brian one such story is that because the film was controversal in Britain when it was first released it was banned in many cities - but in later life, the actress who played Judith became an official in a Welsh city, and she lifted the ban on The Life of Brian, and arranged a showing of it ... clearly proud of the film (and presumably her nudity in it!)

A few re-watches ago of this movie, I had something akin to an epiphany about the alien scene ... The gospels mention that Satan tempted Jesus to wow his followers by throwing himself off the highest pinancle of the temple - as God would send angels to save him. In the anti-supernatural mindset of the Pythons, the angels morph into aliens. ... This scene is not a perfect parallel of this ... but I wonder if it was the inspiration for it? Just a thought. What do you think?

Great reaction ladies!!! (but terrible awful movie.. )

Paul De'Armond

"Always look on the bright side of life" became a frequently requested song to be played at funerals in the UK after this film. Personally I approve of this very much as I would want my friends and family to celebrate my life instead of mourning my passing to whatever degree they can.

>"You're ALL individuals!" "Yes! We're all individuals!" > "You're all different!" "Yes, we ARE all different!" >> "I'm not..." :D

The whole Cornetto Trilogy is great. Shaun of the Dead Hot Fuzz The World's End Munchies, it's called a trilogy, but the 3 stories are unrelated. It's just the same director and the same actors, but in each movie someone eats a different flavor cornetto ice cream. It's more modern British comedy and they are some of my favorite movies. The director, Edgar Wright, is great. He's the master of the montage.

Love this reaction on one of my favorite absurd comedies. Monty Python group was ground breaking for their style of comedy. Sometimes it lands and other times it doesn't. It was funny to hear Katie enjoyed the alien scene as that scene is so out there, I still don't understand it. But that's the thing with this movie. It is meant to be absurd and poke fun at absurdity. Thank you for another great reaction!

Jeffrey Roberts

Always look on the bright side of life.😆 I have to be honest, Monty Python's movies are definitely too silly for me. But the reaction of the ladies is hilarious💜...so that balances it out a bit.😅

Digitalversager

Watch Road Trip then EuroTrip lemme know which is funnier lol

J’aurda

Yay! Monty Python Meaning of Life next please!

Joe Laster

Never seen this before. Should be fun.

Alex Anderson

It's an excellent lesson to always stay positive, even when being crucified. I think the very end of this film is making fun of a film called Spartacus. It's actually directed by Stanley Kubrick who also directed The Shining and Full Metal Jacket. I can't tell you more without spoilers.

Steven Roy

Even a starving camel is still bigger than a horse

Imperial Mort

Great reaction. Maybe try another British comedy next 'Sean of the dead'.

I really needed this today, thank you Ladies very much :D I have to say i really like all 5 reactors very much, but Katie is starting to become my new favorite … very cute, clever and entertaining and sometime unexpected.

JessDMorgan

Yay! Chi on a comedy reaction. This should be a wild ride.
