"Nature Calls" is a euphemism for going to the bathroom, and the title makes sense once you realize that an important plot point is bat-shit. This movie references and makes jokes about a few other movies/TV shows. The opening of the movie, when Ace drops the racoon, is making fun of a movie called CLIFFHANGER. It came out a couple of years before this film and features Sylvester Stallone as a mountain climber/rescue guy who tries to rescue someone and drops them at the beginning of that film. Jim Carey reenacting that scene with a racoon is just so funny to me. Have you watched any Stallone movies yet? Rocky starring Sylvester Stallone is really good and a VERY American movie. Tien seemed to get confused when Ace said he saw something on the wing of the plane, but he's making fun of another actor -William Shatner- who starred in an episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE -a popular TV show from the 1960s. In that episode, Nightmare at 20,000 Feet, a man sees a strange creature on the wing of the plane but no one believes him. Carey is just making fun of the way William Shatner speaks. The animal at the end that he squirts the bad guys with is a SKUNK. When Ace does this, he says, "I want you to meet my little friend." This is a quote from a movie called SCARFACE, and I will just say Scarface is NOT a comedy. So, to continue your film education and to have a better understanding of Pet Detective movies, you must watch Cliffhanger, all 156 episodes of The Twilight Zone, and Scarface. I'm kidding, but you could.
