GOT is like a rollercoaster. The first season slowly takes you higher and higher, but then the journey begins in so many unexpected ways.

I really like the reaction to Game of thrones, it makes for such a good reaction series. Cersei the queen (the blond haired evil women who killed the wolf) is certainly not a toy, neither is Catelyn Stark the wife of the hand of the king. that being said some others (still) are and will be and yeah its important to start to know their names and maybe nicknames, at least of all the lannisters and starks and the houses/famillies (Lannister, Targaryen, Baratheon, Stark, and maybe Tully, including what kind of picture is in their coat of arms)

Someone

Lannisters House motto is actually "Hear Me Roar!", but they have an unofficial common saying "A Lannister always pays his debts"

King Bob

careful no spoilers :p

Great reaction girls, I am Hispanic from El Salvador, my English is at 80% I suggest you to a have a cell phone to look up for words and phrases you don't know so you won't keep reacting without knowing the word! that's what I do and keep a note book to write the characters names like for example: the bad guy > name! the fat man > name! the King and Queen's names! The Half man's name! Etc. Thanks.

Chi: "The more I watch the movie the more I hate her." ( Cersei ) Haha... oh just you wait.

Explanation of that scene at the beginning in the throne room: House Targaryen has ruled Westeros for a very long time. They all have white hair and a supernatural ability to command dragons. The last king went mad/insane and killed (among many others) Ed Stark's father and "laughed while he burned." There was a rebellion that ended when Jaime Lannister, then Hand of the king, killed the "Mad King" right there in the throne room in front of 600 people, non of whom tried to stop him. This is why he is called "King slayer" by everyone he meets. Robert Baratheon (the fat king who visited Winterfell in the first episode) took the throne. Ed Stark helped in this. King Robert Baratheon is widely called "the Usurper" (someone who wrongly seizes power by force). The two children of the Mad King (real name 'Aerys II Targaryen', we never see him) Viserys Targaryen and his sister Daenerys Targaryen fled across the Narrow Sea. All the stuff about Viserys marrying his sister off to savages to gain an army is part of his scheme to return to Westeros and retake power from the Usurper. King Robert Baratheon married Cersei Lannister and made her his queen. The House of Lannister is an extremely wealthy and powerful family in Westeros. The king assumes that the queen's son, Prince Joffrey Baratheon, is his. Actually, the queen was having an affair with her own twin brother Jaime Lannister. This is why Jamie tried to kill Bran Stark by pushing him out of that window. The reason why Joffery is so evil is because he is the product of incest between brother and sister. There. I think that covers everything so far. "Winter is coming". The seasons on this world are many earth-years long. Long winters are very difficult to survive.

This show is amazing, one thing I recommend is - not joking - making a list of the characters and the Houses / Kingdoms (teams) they belong to, their relationships, etc. because there are going to be a TON of characters. It can get confusing. And always pay attention to the map in the introduction too! It changes. And don’t Google anyone’s name, it will ruin all of the surprises!

Bill Bliss

Love it! Also, I recommend you try to get familiar with the map in the intro. It shows you all the major important areas related to the story.

Dajefe70

I’m surprised they never finished those!

Oh the four animals in the beginning are the wolf, the dragon, the lion, and the stag. Each is associated with an important house in the show. The wolf is the Stark house, the lion is the Lannister house, the stag (male deer) is the Baratheon house, and the dragon is the Targaryen house.

Please continue the Back to the Future and John Wick movies.

Subbed just for this, carry on the Thrones! Love the reaction ladies!

Magnet Hand

As always, an awesome reaction ladies.💜 I'm afraid it's going to get a bit more confusing in the future, there will be a lot more characters joining the cast. I'm glad you like the show so far.🙂

I love these stories so much and your reactions are great. You might start to notice that each House is associated with a particular saying. "Winter is Coming" is associated with the Starks. It has the literal meaning, but also means not to get soft, or complacent in peaceful times and always be prepared for hard times. "A Lannister always pays his debts" is what the Lannisters say. This has the literal meaning as the Lannisters are known to be rich in this world, so they can always pay you back, but it also means that if you attack the Lannisters, they will also "pay that back", usually with interest. You didn't meet the Greyjoys, yet, but their motto is "We Do Not Sow." The Greyjoys are like the pirates of the world. Their saying means that they are not farmers, but warriors who take what they need from others. Actually, you did meet a Greyjoy you just don't know it yet. He is played Alfie Allen, who also played the puppy-killer in John Wick. Alfie Allen's sister is Lily Allen, who is a very popular singer in England. Do you know her music? I'm sure you noticed the men of all the Houses sleep around a lot and this produces a lot of illegitimate children or bastards. These children do not get to take their father's name. Instead, they get a surname associated with the region in which they were born. If you're a bastard from the North, your last name will be Snow, like Jon Snow. If you are a bastard from the Riverlands, your surname will be Rivers. If you're from Dorne (desert region) your last name will be Sand.

Great reactions! Just so you know, Jaime Lannister is called "The King Slayer" because he killed Aerys Targaryen, the king before Robert. Even though Robert was rebelling against the Targaryens, Jaime was sworn to protect Aerys, so it is considered an ultimate betrayal of his honor.

Mike G

Hell yes
