The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Reaction part 1

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Reaction part 1

Comments

You'd probably be better watching a movie if you don't want people reacting during it.

Andy Worthington

Pls stop talking over movie dialog

saad dodi

What redemption story? Gollum wasn't redeemed. He merely played the proper part in the destruction of the ring but he didn't intend to.

Edward Olson

"go to hell" is like chi's signiture catch phrase XD

Joshua Miller

I didn't notice. I just hope they eventually stop talking over movie dialog. They get confused a lot when they don't pay attention.

puppers

I see clear hard cuts. Does anyone know why they do this? Bathrrom breaks, calling a friend for lore updates?

TinCan Cosmanaut

great reaction Girls......great movie.

Ervin Cortez

Gandalf leveled up.

This was always my favorite of the trilogy. I was excited to see how you ladies reacted to the story of Gollum and his redemption story. And I was NOT disappointed. Despite his appearance, both of you came to like him. His performance is phenomenal. Kudos to Andy Serkis for such a phenomenal job. Wonderful reaction ladies!

As far as I understand the text in the Silmarillion, Maiar and Elves don't really die. Only the mortal body can die through violence, the soul then goes to the halls of Mandos where it awaits rebirth. There is an Elf who is reborn in the Lord of the Rings books, Glorfindel. True Death was the gift that the humans received from Ilúvatar. When a human dies, their soul does not go to the halls of Mandos but travels on to an unknown destination. I don't remember/know what it is like for dwarves when they die. They were the creation of Aule and not Ilúvatar. Well, I'm not a great Tolkien expert either, so don't hold me to that. The last time I read the Silmarillion was about 20 years ago but that's how I remember it.😅

Gandalf can, and did die. He was mortally wounded in his duel with the Balrog of Moria, and only through the intervention of Ilúvatar himself was he restored to his body. The Istari or wizards, like Sauron himself, are Maiar. They are mortal but subject to divine control or intervention and “miracles.”

Another great reaction ladies!💜 Frodo is so interested in Golum because he knows that he could become the same if his mission fails and he wears the ring for too long. Gandalf can't actually die. In the mythology of The Lord of the Rings, Gandalf is something like an angel. The Valar, the gods in Middle Earth, put him and the other wizards like Saruman, in the bodys of old man and reduced their power. Through his resurrection as Gandalf the White, he became much stronger, then he was as Gandalf the grey. He has, so to speak, risen in the ranks of wizards.

Manospondylus

They're taking the hobbits to Isengard!

Manospondylus

You ladies are killing it with these reactions! I hope Hela will have enough tissues for the third movie.

Grumples

Given how well done these films are, it's incredible to think about how much of the books was left out. Great reaction as always, ladies. You truly are a precious treasure yourselves.

Nathanial House

Love your reaction to this one!
