I hope you two stick with this one at least for a few seasons. It's the kind of show where you get more out of it when you pay attention to all the little details. There are many moving parts and each season adds a new layer to the storytelling.

She'll be hated all throughout the series. What she's saying here is true. A bit of a glimpse into why she is the way she is. Obviously not about wanting the boy to live, but about her history with her husband the king. The reason why he's called Snow is because he isn't a full blood Stark. Snow's the name that bastards get. lmao, if these sex scenes bother you you're both in for it with this series. Sex doesn't happen in each and every episode but it does happen. Loyal hound!! Love those doggos so much! That isn't a tunnel, it's a wall. One MASSIVE wall. Whoever crosses it must climb to the top to progress. RIP Lady </3 I'm happy that you're enjoying the show. It'll only improve over time. :)

In GoT they dont get the last name of their father, they usually (not always) get the last name from the thing that is most availible in the region, in the nord, that is 'snow'; in other places it can be 'stone' or 'water' or 'rivers' etc. as to answer hellas question:'don't wake the dragon' was said to daenerys by her brother in s1e1, it just means 'dont make me angry'. people in the movie have the tendency to speak in symbols. the targaryen have the dragon in their coat of arms and thus they call themselves dragons, same as the starks sometimes are refered to 'wolfs' or 'direwolfs' or 'pups/puppies/cubs'

You are going to miss large parts of the plot if you don't watch and listen carefully throughout. With so many moving parts it's easy to miss small but incredibly important details.

2024-07-08 16:00:07 +0000 UTCDaenerys was assisted by the girls after she got off the horse because she is not used to riding horses for long periods of time. Her hands and bottom are very sore. Later the cuts you saw on her hands were made by the reigns of the horse she was riding. There is only one king for the 7 kingdoms, Robert Baratheon. The man Ned Stark is protecting by becoming the Hand of the King. The people going to The Wall are Jon Snow (Ned Stark's bastard son) and Tyrion Lannister. Neither one is a prince. Tyrion is just the brother of the Queen. The only Prince shown so far is Joffrey.

2024-07-06 14:14:05 +0000 UTCYes, really. You can show just a closeup of a face, silhouettes, shadows, put the people behind things. You don't have to show 100% bare bodies. Those things are absolutely unnecessary in a story like this. Unless it's a true story like Schindler's List where hiding things is an insult to the truth, nudity and sex is just exploitative and intended to titillate.

In the opening sequence of the episode you can see where the episode takes place and which storylines are continued in the episode. "Winter is coming" is not only the motto of House Stark but is very important line in the world of Game of Thrones. Winter in Westeros is very hard and can last for years.

Instead, they get a standardized name based on the region in which they were born or live. In this case, in the North, bastards get the last name Snow. So when Ned Stark brought back a child he said was born outside of marriage, he was given the name Jon Snow instead of the name of his mother or father.

2024-07-04 18:20:52 +0000 UTClol you seem uncomfortable with the nudity, the purpose of these scenes is to portray the gritty, harsh, selfish and vulgar reality of this world and the characters in it, but these scenes are used for important other reasons. You might have to close your eyes a lot, but keep listening they talk a lot during these scenes, and the dialogue in these scenes is also used for character exposition. Background information on the characters and the setting is explained in these scenes.
