Great movie and reaction, Stephen King is a genius and I would recommend you watch some more of his film adaptations, some of them aren't as good as the novels but still worth a watch. By the way when Red was asked why people call him 'Red' and he said it must be because he's Irish, he said that because Irish people stereotypically have red hair, however in the novel Red DID actually have red hair so the Irish reference was only for the film if that makes sense โ๏ธ๐ keep doing what you're doing

You're right about how difficult it would be for them after getting out of prison. It makes it more difficult when people don't hire them because they were in prison, so finding fulfilling work is very difficult, and people need purpose in life to be happy. Fun fact: Shawshank Redemption remains the top rated movie ever on IMDB. Question: What poster(s) would you want to have if you were in jail and digging a secret tunnel? For a similar movie - I suggest 'The Count of Monte Cristo' from 2002. It's also considered a prison movie, but very different. Set around 1814 in France, it has action, romance, and revenge. And a good cast of actors. Additionally, if you haven't seen 'The Princess Bride', that is another classic, and unique, movie you must watch at some point in your lives.
