Here's some more nerdy stuff! :P
My friend recently decided to start up a modern fantasy game of Dungeons & Dragons 5e. Being a Pathfinder fan (D&D 3.5e) I had a lot of trouble reconciling the lack of customization and the overall dumbing down of things, but he managed to win me over by showing me a homebrewed Lycanthrope class (Lycanthrope in PF and D&D refers all werecreatures, not just werewolves). So I came up with the idea of a Lumberjack Werebear (who eventually became a Park Ranger instead of a Lumberjack) as well as two NPCs; a Werewolf ex-boyfriend and a more traditionalist twin brother.
Lycanthropes in PF and D&D have three forms; Human, Hybrid, and Full animal. Hybrid is basically a Hollywood "Wolfman" type appearance, where they are more human than animal. We also decided that Lycanthropes gone berserk with Bloodlust will have a fourth, "Feral" form, which is a more anthropomorphic appearance.
So here are Rowan & Roland Arcuson (wanted a Norse vibe, being inspired by the pro-Lycanthrope race of humans in Pathfinder, the Ulfen, who are very Viking-like and see Lycanthropy as an honor instead of a curse, while Arcus refers to the son of Callisto, Ursa Major, and grandson of King Lycaon, the first Werewolf in Greek Mythology) as well as the Werewolf Brodric Lasko.
