Development Update #59 - July 24, 2018

Hey everyone,

It's been a while!
Just want to let you know what I'm up to these days.

First of all, thanks for all the applications for the writer position!
I'm reviewing them and I'll reach out to all of you once I'm done. There's been funny and interesting ones so far and I see you guys have quite perverted minds! But that's okay, I think we all do ;)

Once I'm done with picking the new writer, I'll resume working on Chapter 2 of The Lost Memories. You can expect previews coming this week!

I've also been thinking about a particular feature for Midnight Paradise. That feature is voice acting. I was thinking it could be fun to have it fully voice acted. While it's fun it alos takes resources. (time and money)
Since I can't decide myself, I thought I'd ask your opinions on this, so I'm putting it to a vote!
All the major characters would be voice acted, including the MC.

And speaking of the MC...
Midnight Paradise's Main Character will have a face. He will have a much more defined personality than the MC in DoD. I think he will be a cool guy to play as. Not having to make sure to adjust the camera in a way that his face is hidden all the time is going to be blessing as well. In DoD I had to take special care and some scenes were hard to make properly. (The kissing scenes especially, also I had to watch out for reflections)

Hiding the MC's face was a deliberate design choice in DoD. The "POV" camera had its pros and cons, and so did the "third person" view.

It will be easier to convey the MC's emotions as well since I can now show you his facial expressions. It also brings more freedom with renders when 2 characters are interacting aaand also when the MC is alone. I already have a ton of cool shots lined up in my mind.

So yeah, all in all, this will be a great thing for Midnight Paradise.
