Development Update #26 - September 25, 2017

Hey everyone!


Since the game is coming out tomorrow in early access, I don't really have too much to write here about Episode 7, you'll know everything about it soon enough!

Although, I'll say that I will be releasing 2 versions tomorrow.
Both version will have the same content, but the one with the new minigame code, and another one with the old minigame code, as a failsafe, so if there's anything wrong with the new one, there's always the old.
However, it seems like everything is working properly, but there's a big difference between a few people testing, and a few hundred people testing.
This means, with the new minigame version, you'll have to start a new game. With the skipping option, it only takes a minute or two to get where you left off previously.
(the old version will work just as before, but that will be discontinued from EP8, just a heads up)

I thought I'd tell you about a some other miscellnious things.

The game is getting a facelift!

A new interface design is coming, work will start on it after the releases.
The current interface, with the buttons, the layout, doesn't really reflect the quality I'm aiming for.
I made those very plain looking blue buttons back in March, when I was putting together the first Episode.

This time however, it won't be me to do the new design. An other artist will jump on it and the coder will implement it into the game.
So this way, I don't have to worry about it and it doesn't put anything extra on my plate.
But, this also means, the completion time is almost completely out of my hands. I'd like it to be finished for Episode 8, but it's not really a mandatory thing I think.
If it goes well, I'm also planning some other cool stuff to add to the game, like the scene counter which I talked about a while ago. I want it to go well with the new interface, so it will make it into the game with that package.

I found myself typing away a lot in this Episode when it comes to dilaogues and monologues.  I think these moments really gave the characters a little bit more depth, and made the overall story better.

I know some people have made up a list of questions that are left unaswered. Well, they can cross a few things off their list with this Episode, as more information is revealed from the mystery.

The Elite version will have 300+ images this time as well.

Hey Lewd... I recently downloaded the game up to episode 6, and tried installing all the extra content since I have access to them, problem is only episodes 1 and 2 content unlocked so far I am in episode 3 and haven't seen the extras, I just did the message mom on couch scenario nothing... Are they not supposed to be all installed into one game like that?

Hey guys, mega is goofing on me, so there's a bit of a delay with the upload. It's gonna be up in about 20 minutes. Mac version comes after that. Pray for the upload gods and it shall be alright

Just a quick question. Will I be able to use Latisha's feet for footjob?

Probably deleting them on the game folder.

I've never minded the UI myself but glad to hear you're doing an update for yourself, keep yourself happy and the quality of the game will follow. But since you mentioned it, I wouldn't hate if there were an option to make the dialogue window smaller/more transparent/on the top/side so it doesn't block some -- ahem -- bits of the art. I know we can toggle it off but that interrupts the flow of the story for me.

As the minigame update will invalidate our old saves, is there an easy way to wipe them? I prefer to start fresh with new save tiles.

Stoked for tomorrow! More mystery unfolding = awesome. UI touch ups sounds good. When there's a well done and clean UI it really does give the game a "high quality" feel. It already looks good but as you say, you're always looking to improve. Tons of dialogue ;) :O always good to hear this for more back story/character development. Lastly, 300+ more images??? You're truly a warrior, Doc. Thanks again for your monstrous efforts.
