Episode 4 - Last Preview

So this is the last preview before release tomorrow.

You might notice the different resolution. There are a few images like this in EP4, where one image has 3x the height of a regular one. These are going to be scrolling/panning images (like mom in the dressing room in EP1)

The Early Access version had some hiccups, mainly because of an unforseen bug that came up, and it ate a lot of time.

But everything looks like everything's been solved, (finishing touches required on the Mac build), so it's gonna be out

tomorrow (29th) at 19:00 UTC

Thanks Master Sin. You just made my day (and it was a good one already)

Zootographer

It took me about 9 months to be confident enough in my renders to release DoD, while working at my old job. But of course, if you are relentless and have time on your hands, and some talent/creativity, you can learn in a shorter time. Asking to share this information is asking me to give away my only trade secret. Which of course is not really a secret, everyone can learn. I suggest to learn basic photography along with 3D rendering, it helps a ton. Because essentially a 3D artist is trying to imitate photography. When the day comes that I make my last game, I'll share all the knowledge I accumulated. But until then, it's my (not-so) secret.

I cant speak for SIN but ill guess he would tell you the same. Download DAZ and try. Learn from YOUTUBE (youll find even advanced stuff there) and forums. You wont ever find a "fast" way to do renders like this. If you try really hard it will take maybe 1-3 months to copy work like this and maybe 3-6 months to do really great and creative own stuff :-)

Lewdlab, do you have any blog posts / tutorials on your approach to rendering scenes? Specifically, render settings, lighting, hardware etc. Your renders for DAZ content are among the best I have ever seen. It would be amazing if you'd share your knowledge and techniques with 3D community. Thanks!

As an elite, I'll say this was one of my favorite scenes in the whole series. <3
