I am now trying to get a large amount of work done in the fastest possible time
Added 2025-06-02 08:53:04 +0000 UTCRecently, I was finally able to work with gusto, so I did everything at once, from video editing to uploading, auctioning, soliciting production requests, and so on.
It has been a long time since I finished editing a video in two days, which would normally take a week to finish. I plan to increase the frequency of video editing and uploading as I have more work to do in the future.
I plan to work roughly 10 hours a day, so I hope to be able to get all the commissions I've been looking for in the last few days to you within 3 months (there were no commission requests from outside of Japan in this open call).
┃First time to sell an item at auction was a first for me.
I have been touching GK for quite a long time, but this was my first time to put it up for auction. I had seen many people selling GKs, and I thought I might give it a try, but I had not made up my mind yet. I had been thinking about it, but I couldn't make up my mind.
I thought that I had enjoyed it enough and that it would be better to have it displayed at someone's place who wants it rather than keeping it forever, so I decided to sell it for the first time.
As a result, I think I personally settled on a reasonable price.
I personally think that the market price depends on the supply and demand at the time. Therefore, it can be predicted to some extent that it will fluctuate considerably from time to time, depending on popular characters, the popularity of IPs, and whether or not there are any re-releases.
I now understand why many of the highest-priced pieces sold at auctions are new kits.
I don't know if I will exhibit my personal works in the future, but I think it might be better to continue to exhibit occasionally as a data collection tool.
I was not sure how to submit an item to the auction since it was my first time to submit an item to the auction, so I did some research and registered as a premium member, then when I was able to use HTML, I prepared the appearance of the summary column, images, etc. I was very tired.
┃ Actually, it was the first time I actively recruited commissions.
Incidentally, this was the first time for me to actively recruit commissions.
I have often taken on closed commissions when I received a request or an introduction, but I wanted to see what would happen if I openly recruited.
As a result, contrary to our expectations, we have received requests from quite early on, and we have already begun work. I thought it would be a slow and steady flow of requests every few days. I had expected to receive a few requests every few days, but I received a flurry of DMs at the first announcement, which was an unexpected development, but I am very happy about it. (However, the requests were only from Japan.)
I basically do not accept samples from corporate clients, but mainly from individuals and dealers, and my goal is to finish the work quickly and with light footwork. Therefore, the number of kit I take on at one time is about 5~6 at maximum, and I try not to have a delivery time that extends over a year.
This service may be just right for those who are not willing to wait for years.
We have also taken measures to ensure that our working capital will not be depleted by establishing new terms of service and starting fees, etc., when we begin accepting production requests from the general public, so we think we will be able to manage.
I plan to work hard and hope to finish about 2~3 pieces per month. In addition to this, I will also be writing videos and articles, so I don't feel like I'm in a hard mode, but I have no choice but to do it because I want to try it. Black labor is good, let's give it our all.
I am beginning to feel that it will be quite a challenge, but since I want to try it, I have no choice but to do it.
I just have to keep pushing toward my goal.
