And thus begins my posting of a series of illustrations in my preferred style. Of all the cartoons we watched as kids, the diaper-clad babies of Rugrats are probably the ones everyone remembers the most, so I started with them, and of course when starting with the Rugrats, I have to start with their fearless leader Tommy Pickles.
Those who have met me IRL at conventions know that I also do drag (or, 'en femme' as I call it, for when I embrace my feminine side I try NOT to look like a $5 Vegas Hooker). So I wanted to draw some characters from pop culture doing drag or going somewhat 'en femme', while still maintaining a level edge, as I try to do when I embrace the XX!
Done in Photoshop, the Rugrats series was originally completed to be sold as prints at TeddyCon 2021 to be TeddyCon exclusives. Never posted anywhere online, never shared or copied, just hard prints that only exist in physical form. But because the event was cancelled that never came to fruition. I think now is about the time I'm ready to start revealing them to the world.
