【Random note】The Artima series of polishing tools has an identical product with another name for North America
Added 2022-04-20 17:30:59 +0000 UTCAlthough Algofile's Artima series has become quite popular in the JP GK community, it is actually an OEM product and is sold under a different name in the US and European regions.
Specifically, it is the DAVID series.

You will see that they each behave exactly the same as Artima. By the way, Artima 5 has released an updated version, Artima 7.
Maybe the same thing will be released for the DAVID series.

Personally, I would have preferred a stock foot pedal rather than an updated version (I use one I made myself). haha

2023-01-10 05:23:04 +0000 UTCI couldn't afford the Artima when I was in Japan and felt I should have more experience building garage kits before investing in the tool, but I thought of a very low budget (and kinda funny) alternative that you might want to share with some of your viewers. I basically got an electric tooth brush, cut off the bristles and replaced it with sanding pads shaped like the base of the moving parts of the tooth brush. It worked reasonably well on some model kit parts I had lying around. I think I'll try this (very crude) method before investing in more appropriate equipment. Just thought I'd like to share this silly experiment with you!
