3D printer output products often have lamination marks, and polishing them is a patient process.
Ordinary resin casts are carefully sanded only at the parting line, but printed products need to be sanded in their entirety, and more coats of surfacer are required if necessary.
I realized that this is the reason why some details of a model that looks sharp on the modeling screen on the PC may be smashed when the model is outputted and polished.
Even though they may look fine to the naked eye, if you look closely with a macro shot, as in these photos for example, you can see the lamination and support marks that remain. It seems that I need to become more familiar with the polishing process for printed products...
