The Snowy Mountains Update Part 2 is here and brings a new structures, new enemies, new spells, new weapons and artifacts, a new cave biome, many fixes, many improvements and more.

Structures
There are 6 new structures to find in the Snowy Mountains Biome. These range from ancient keeps to abandoned towers and contain new loot for you to find. The new structures are:
Bastion Ruins
Lumbermill Ruins
Church Ruins
Tower Ruins
Keep Ruins
Altar Ruins
Enemies
There are 4 new enemies that you can find in the Snowy Mountains
Goul
These creatures love to throw whatever they can get their hands on at you and also pack a deadly punch.
Beetle
Look out for these nasty critters as they have a deadly has attack and pack a nasty bite.
Remnant
These undead creatures can wield a variety of weapons including Shuriken's, Wands and Swords.
Snowflake
Be on the lookout for these spiky creatures they have a frosty magical attack and don't take kindly to strangers.
Spells
Frost Ball
This spell fires a ball of icy energy dealing high damage and leaving a frosty residue .
Frost Ray
This powerful beam spell deals a high amount of damage and inflicts an icy effect on your enemies.
Leap
This is a new early game spell that allows you to leap great heights. Just be sure to stick the landing ;)
The Levitate spell has also seen an upgrade allowing you to out rip chunks of the world and hurl them at enemies.
New Weapons
There is a new weapon tier in the game: Titanium. This metal can be found underground in the Snowy Mountains and will be the highest tier in the game.
Shuriken's have been added. This throwable weapon is made using a mould in a smeltery and deals higher damage than a bow and arrow but is more expensive to create.
Also, there are 2 new artifacts to find.
Gas Mask: Helps you to breathe in poison gas, but only for a short period of time.
Iridium Ring: Reduces the chance of being set on fire or frozen.
Ice Caves
The Ice Caves biome can now be found in the Snowy Mountains. These frigid caverns are filled with glowing mushrooms, icy obstacles and provide easy access to Titanium Ore.
New Music
The game now has all new music that has a much more whimsical and happier tone really tying the game together.
Combat Balance
The game has had a large balance pass making combat a bit easier for new players while still keeping a good level of challenge.
UI/QOL Improvements
There have been a large number of various improvements to many aspects of the game improving overall player experience and usability.
How to Install and Play
Windows
Download the .zip file attached to this post
Place the .zip file into the folder where you want to install the game
Right click the .zip file and click Extract All
A window will open. Click Extract
Open the LayOfTheLand_0.19.0 folder
Double click LayOfTheLand.exe
Linux
Download the .zip file attached to this post
Place the .zip file into the folder where you want to install the game
Extract the .zip file
Add LayOfTheLand.exe to Steam as a Non Steam Game
Right click it in your library and select properties, then compatibility
Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool. Proton 9.0-4 is recommended but Proton Experimental should work as well

Attacks that hit the player and apply knockback no longer stop the players movement velocity making it easier to escape melee enemies
Increased player base health regeneration rate
Increased shield spell mana cost
Various balance tweaks
UI/QOL
Removed player outline from inventory equipment ui and added health/mana/stamina stats
Added a crosshair hint when creating a custom prefab that is too large
Improved useable placement preview
Increased overall ui opacity
Improved map icons
Improved durability progress bar on item slots
Can now click on crafting recipe ingredients to show the crafting recipe for the ingredient if it has one
Can now quickly move an item to a hot bar slot by pressing the key to equip that slot while hovering over an inventory slot with the mouse
Made health/mama/stamina bar a little brighter
Can now move when changing tool/weapon dig mode
Misc
Added equipped item swap animations
Added seeds to more loot tables
Added particles to digging with a hammer
Made rain and dust particles more transparent
Slightly reduced player held items vertical movement animation intensity
Removed voids from fortress ruin walls and added tower interior
Increased speed of fire voxel particles
Increased player melee attack animation finish blend time
Increased day length to 30 minutes. Night length remains 10 minutes.

Fixes
Fixed being unable to drop object with levitate spell using the aim key
Fixed ai missing ice footstep sounds
Fixed jar of fireflies light still being visible when item is not equipped
Fixed fog being included in map ui rendering
Fixed incorrect map icon scaling at different resolutions
Fixed arrow still being visible after being fired from bow
Fixed egg plant crop meshes not aligned to voxel grid
Fixed ai swimming
Fixed conductive item modifier using mana even if there is no target to chain lightning to
