The The Mushroom Swamp Update Part 3 is here and brings a new boss, many fixes and various improvements.
I hope you enjoy the update and thank you all so much for the support and I hope you enjoy the game :)
New Boss
You can find a new boss in the Mushroom Swamp biome. The Deathcap. This giant ferocious mushroom will bite, leap and vomit acid onto its foes. Also, beware the poisonous mushrooms growing on its cap. These release a poisonous gas cloud when launched.
The Deathcap can be summoned under a giant tree using a Mycelium Sigil, pieces of which can be found in structures throughout the Mushroom Swamp Biome.
Please note that the Deathcap, related items and arena will only appear in newly created worlds.
How to Install and Play
Windows
Download the Windows .zip file attached to this post
Place the .zip file into the folder where you want to install the game
Right click the .zip file and click Extract All
A window will open. Click Extract
Open the LayOfTheLand_0.17.0_Windows folder
Double click LayOfTheLand.exe
Linux
Download the Linux .zip file attached to this post
Place the .zip file into the folder where you want to install the game
Extract the .zip file
Open the LayOfTheLand_0.17.0_Linux folder
Run LayOfTheLand.sh

Fixed player still flying if player mode is changed while flying
Fixed vines not generating on structures
Fixed creating a flat world and then loading a normal world causes voxel assets to not load
Fixed building over flowing water voxels doesn't remove their particle or sound effects
Fixed Buckets filling/draining in creative mode
Fixed Banshee taking damage from acid voxels
Fixed being unable to repair Sword of Thorns
Fixed being able to use broken shields
Fixed boar hit animations
Fixed GPU particles missing collision when using hardware raytracing
Fixed doors not loading their correct rotation when spawned
Fixed seed command
Fixed bridges generating too close together or overlapping

I apologize if here isn't the place for this, but I have a very small request - would it be possible for you to set the default volume levels to 50%? 100% is *very loud*, and people with sensitive ears might be turned off a bit.

2025-10-19 13:03:23 +0000 UTCI loved the game from what I'd played and it was definitely more than 6 hours. I would love to be able to build a boat and see what's across the ocean! Or even just ride it around while looking for somewhere to make my next cave/beachfront! The amount of time I'd spent just designing and tinkering was so worth getting this. I can't wait to see all the future updates!
