Plans for the Near Future

The time has come, friends. New GPUs and CPUs are out and soon I will be upgrading to a new PC. However, availability of these sexy new components are pretty severely limited, so it might be a little while before I actually get a new PC put together. That said, having made the decision to upgrade (and knowing that it'll be about 2x as powerful as my current rig) makes me not want to start illustrating a new big project. But that doesn't mean I'm going to be idle!

Here's what I'm working on the meantime:

Learning Blender

A little late to the party, but I see now that Blender is the future. I'm probably not going to abandon Daz entirely, but Blender will open up new possibilities that were just impractical before. Hint: animation. It'll be a while yet before I get to that point, or even have anything worth showing, but when I do, you'll be the first to see it!

Writing new stories

I always have ideas. Here are the two currently at the forefront of my mind:

Continue with one-off illustrations

One-off illustrations and short series will continue, as you've seen from my last couple of posts. I have no shortage of ideas there either, but I may be a bit more amenable to suggestions though, so if you've got some, feel free to share. As for opening commissions... I'm considering it, but honestly, I've never really liked doing commissions, so it's unlikely.

Patreon in general

As you may have heard, Patreon has decided to go the puritan route and has begun cracking down on adult-oriented creators. I've so far managed to avoid their notice, but some of my colleagues who cover similar subject matter have gotten warnings, so it may be only a matter of time for me. I'll be looking into alternatives to ensure that you all are never interrupted in giving me money 🤣.

Speaking of your support, just because I'm delaying the start of a new project doesn't mean I'm not going to have something for $10+ patrons. I have something in the works that I think you'll all like, and that others will get the opportunity to enjoy as well. Expect it this month!

As always, thank you all for your continual support! In all seriousness, you guys make it so that delays and temporary hiatuses are much more manageable for me, and it gives me the ability to do things that aren't just focused entirely on making an immediate profit, but benefit my art in the long run, like learning new things and taking  the time to explore new ideas. Thank you so much!
