A spitbug infection can also be very slow, this is even more dangerous if the infected person is already back in society. A slow infection is triggered by a spitbug egg (which is almost the same size as a chicken egg on earth)
Spitbugs use these eggs to feed male victims and turn them into spitbugs very slowly, to make sure their "male equipment" stays intact for as long as possible.
The tf usually kicks in 6-8 days after the egg has ben swallowed. Usually it takes 2-3 days from then to turn the victim into a fertile spitbug
