TRAVELLING MODEL
Added 2020-07-29 13:30:47 +0000 UTCI realise images like these aren't popular here on Patreon - as judged by the responses to the last post of random travel shots but...this project which I started years ago is still ongoing. Soon I'll be collating images and text into some kind of presentable artefact - whether that's an exhibition, magazine, book, series of small mags or whatever.
One of the motivators behind starting this Patreon account was to be able to share my project work, the 'serious' stuff, as opposed to general model photography and all that entails. A project, in my opinion, is a concerted effort at portraying a particular thing, concept or idea. That's quite different from picking up a camera and making some pictures, even when you have a goal in mind for a shoot.
The Travelling Model project is an attempt to provide a little more truth, and some insights, into the life of an international travelling model. I've had the perfect vantage point to do this, having travelled extensively with Aurora during her tours to various places around the globe. I see it all, the loft highs, the deep lows. Many think it's some kind of glamorous lifestyle and many aspire to having it but the hard truth is there are not many people at all who could handle this lifestyle.
Many of the images are completely candid. Some were kind of semi-candid in that Aurora knew I was taking the image but the mood and vibe of that moment were not changed for the image.
