Before we get to the download files, we have another important poll for you.  Lately we've been getting a lot of bug reports that fall into two categories:

1) The android build not responding.  It loads and shows the disclaimer screen, and then inputs to continue from there are not recognized.  According to a ren'py changelog, the issue seems to be that the app is losing focus after launch, most likely because some other background-running app is stealing it.  Because this depends on the specific phone's loadout, there isn't a lot we can do on our end.

2) The save corruption bug we fixed back in v0.04.  Our fix worked for everyone who reported it at that time, but we still get this cropping up here and there.  Unless it's a different bug with the exact same symptoms.  Either way, it's almost certainly caused by our custom save system, since you don't hear about this at all in other ren'py games.

Now.  We're pretty sure that bug 1 would be solved completely by upgrading to a new version of ren'py.  However, instinctually we know that switching mid-project is a bad idea.  There's no way to tell if anything else would break, and that includes for people who aren't seeing either of these bugs now.  If we were to update, it would be like starting the entire game over...and while the content will all copy over easily, we would absolutely use the opportunity to go back to the default save system and clear up bug 2.  As a player, you probably wouldn't notice any difference, except that you would need to start a new game, as save data would not carry over.

You're probably wondering if there's any upside.  And there is: we can provide an even more robust game, with some QOL improvements.  We've added a lot in the past year, including things we didn't exactly plan for at the beginning of development.  So far our additions have been relatively non-disruptive, but they do make certain things a pain to code.  It's only a matter of time before we make a mistake, and even now, it's probably safer to start a new game with each new version (though the likelihood of having any issues continuing an old save are very small).

We promised a while ago that there would be no further restarts, and this would break that promise, which is the largest reason that we're reaching out to you now, rather than just deciding one way or another.  Let us know what you think, how mad you'd be to have to restart, and once all the pledge tiers have given their input, well make the final decision.

To update on a computer, you can completely delete the old folder and just play using the new one.  Ren'Py stores saves in a separate location on your hard drive.

Here is the android download link.  To update the build, make sure you drag this .apk file onto the previous one to replace it.  DO NOT uninstall the previous version or your saves will be lost!

Your second level cheat code is "FishAreFriends".  This will unlock all cheats from the first  level as well.
