I totally feel the same way as most of the sentiments that has been said on here. I discovered Sabrina from her last album and she had some good vibey songs. However on this latest one gave me more of a slow introspective sound all through the album, which makes me zone out from really getting into the clever lyrics, and I wanted more of that "Good Graces" feel. But overall it's okay 😐

Lmao, Tears vid was based off the movie Rocky Horror Picture Show. I love the album, but I do wish the album was more like “Tears” sound. Short n Sweet was a grower for me tho compared to MBF.

I totally agree I was disappointed with this album. I don’t think this was a good follow up from Short n Sweet. I wish she would have explored the sound from her last album w/ songs Good graces, don’t smile and bed chem. I really liked that sound from her. Overall I only kept 4 songs from the album When did you get hot,never getting laid,sugar talking and Tears. I’ll continue listening and see how I feel.

This was also first listen and I liked sugar talking, WABUALN, never getting laid, when did you get hot, and house tour. 5/12 I think it’s an okay album I definitely need to let them marinate a bit to see how it develops for me. I feel like she’s a great writer and storyteller which pulls me into her songs more but some of the melodies and productions sounded too familiar for me to be able to listen to them. I also have an issue with happy sounding songs there is such a fine line between cheesy and good and usually it’s cheesy to me. But yeah *I also liked tears, I didn’t watch the rest before commenting

Just finished watching and I completely agree. I love pop as well as Sabrina but this album was boring even for me. Her fun personality and lyrics were drowned out by these dull, lifeless beats. She should never work with this producer again. He sabotaged her and Taylor Swift 😭

I agree that this album had very lackluster production which sucks because her lyrics and vocals always eat! She’s got a lot of personality in her music and I wish the production was more lively to reflect that! I know that the pop girlies keep letting you down (and me too) but I went back and listened to the Midwest princess album by Chappell roan and I think this is maybe Sabrina’s take on a similar retro sound, just made with the wrong collaborators unfortunately! Tears actually ended up being the only song I can see myself listening to again lol. Maybe the video got me feeling it!

Yeah - this album leans way too heavy in the retro sound, down to the studio with bad sound suppression. It was too much. A lot of these songs would have been better had her voice not been drowned out over all the extra tuning.

maybe it’s the way I listen to new albums; I just let them play as I do whatever and only save a song if it catches my attention. but for most of this album I felt nothing. sugar talking and we almost broke up were the only 2 I felt anything for. I was hoping this album would be better than the last for me bc I only liked 4/12 from that one

I must admit, this album wasn’t my favorite at first, but it grew on me so fast lol😭😭 My favs are def Never Getting Laid, When did you get hot, Don’t Worry, and Nobody’s Son The 70’s style of music is what took me a minute to get into, but I rlly appreciate her for trying something new and I enjoyed it.
