Bringing out everyone from different sets is Honestly such a crazy thing you never thought you'd see if you grew up around that, especially losing friends an family to it. Kendrick doing his entire set without background vocals and letting the audience fill in for him when he needs to manage his breathing was done in such a masterful way. Like omitting certain fill-in words or phrases in the perfect places, so he can take a short breath before going off again for over an hour is so impressive. Not many rappers (singers too) do this anymore because they've become so reliant on singing over the background vocals, which i'm not knocking because it's still enjoyable but fully live hittts different.
