this album is better with headphones sonically the production is palpable it missing what a lot of artist refuse to do these days it feel like a complete body of work even to the point when she references her own lyrics really highlight her feelings. Most artist try to slap a million different sounds hoping one hits on tiktok and goes viral which make there albums super long and unorthodox. Her sound and music even from the way she sings softly is unique and you need to be really in the mood for it . Also imo none of her songs sounds how you expect it but I kind of like being lost in the sounds with my headphones up it sort of feels like a movie sound track or journey. It really feel like art is the only way I can describe it very indie very alt for sure.

Me being a fan and and knowing pretty much every single song she's made, I think this is her best album when it comes to songwriting and maybe even beat production. Although I do think that at times the beat could be lowered and her vocals need to come to the front and even the other way around at times because sometimes you can't hear her. But I'm a little biased because I can listen to almost anything and I love every single one of her songs💀🚶🏾‍♂️

i still think HTE , and DSAM was her best albums i liked this album a lot but i also enjoy sadder music for some odd reason even in the gym😂😂 my first listen too this album i was left confuse on what she was saying even with headphones so that’s not great i was looking for my happier then ever or what was i made for song moment where i get chills while listening to it but it didn’t happen at least for right now stuff tends too grow me . and don’t feel bad dee for not fully feeling immersed in the sad alt pop genre it’s not for everyone and that’s ok art is subjective to everyone 🖤🖤

when i first played the album it also didn't fully click for me but there was something abt it that i liked and so i went back and it just clicked now i love it. i can see it not being everyone's cup of tea tho that's for sure. one thing i love about it is how short it is, can get through the whole thing in one sitting with no issues.

I think if you listen to this album in headphones you’ll have a new appreciation for it. It’s not her best but it’s pretty good. I added 5 songs but I had to listen to it a couple times I didn’t get it on my first listen. This might be a stretch but as far as pop music I think you’d like somebody like Lorde or Dua Lipa because they more upbeat and catchy but also not too cheesy

Omg it’s crazy the difference in opinions, I’m not a Billie fan but saw some ppl on my feed hyping it up so I listened w headphones and it’s good. To me the production is so movie like, I like the airy and creepy/ ghostly vibes of this album. The production went so crazy all the diff sounds and layering. Now w that being said, some of the tracks r so movie like to the point where it’s dramatic and I wouldn’t listen day to day. Overall it’s obvious this album wouldn’t be for everyone but I think she captured the feeling she was trying to go for precisely. For me personally this album was about a 6.5 outta 10

I liked skinny (it’s a very interesting take to me on being skinny and it may be her best vocal performance on the album) I liked lunch (but i completely agree about the music video very cringe….but the song is kinda catchy) Chirio (however you spell it I kinda liked that one as well.) I don’t think this was a bad album but not too many songs I’m keeping myself and I really like Billie’s music Also there’s been rumored to be a part 2 to this so maybe she will be bringing a little more there but idk 🤷‍♂️

I honestly wanna say that’s the point of her music tho. She sings quietly and airy on purpose 😭😂 with up tempo beats or dark like beats, to make her sound different and unique to her. I can appreciate the hustle tho…. lmaooo 😭 because seems like a lot people fuck with it and her as an artist. I’ve never listened to an album by her, though I do like a few of her songs. This album was okay, I wouldn’t listen ever again, but it was okay. I’m over the whole soft airy whisper singing that she and some others do, but I’m also a huge fan of R&B and Soul..so I like vocals that have some..umph to them. It doesn’t have to be belts galore, but I also would like to understand what the hell is being said and not feel like I’m on drugs or crazy trying to grasp lyrics, but that’s just me 😆 The image I kept getting while listening to this is people on meth or coke or whatever drugs you snort or shoot up, in a field of flowers high as kites frolicking and running in circles smiling. Don’t know why, but that’s what I got from this and since that’s not me, I’ll pass on it 😂

As someone who been listening to Billie from before her debut album was even out and a big fan of hers… I don’t hate the album, however I definitely think it’s her least best. But I’m not disappointed because she has changed her sound up with every album, so far her first album is definitely the best imo and the second was amazing too so maybe this album will grow on me too. Usually with every album she has an upbeat type of song that has people jumping in her concerts so idk why this one didn’t have any. By the way, her brother finneas produces ALL her songs. her best album, and possible best album of the year

The lyric at 16:45 just made me cry, because of my mother’s recent death. After a month, this was sonically boring to me however, it succeeded what an album is supposed to do-make you feel emotion.

This played out exactly the way I thought it would. I told you the fact that you're even reacting to Billie is surprising considering your music taste.

Also I do think sone of these songs are definitely good for having in some movies as well!

Billie is one of those artists that sound like the studio version or better live. She confirmed to be bisexual...she might say she's lesbian later on based on how she described women.

The Diner was the only bad song. Like I don’t like it at all

Not a huge billie fan, but i actually enjoyed her last album "happier than ever". This one is for the most part too slow for me.

I loved the album and am actually obsessed with the production. But Dee's faces are killing me lol glad she liked BIRDS OF A FEATHER at least cuz that's been on repeat for me.

Yes I definitely agree! When you listen to this album with headphones or in the car there are nuances that you don’t catch otherwise. This album is definitely a 10/10!

The production to (The Diner) sounds like the kahoot music a little bit

i loved her debut album, thought were last album was less than okay (don’t kill me billie stans) but this??? you literally kept taking the words outta my mouth, definitely her weakest project imo

Her voice is very soothing but something about this project felt off to me. Like why are you mumble screaming at me?? I’ll still probably listen a couple more times. I did the same thing as you with the last song Dee…I was about to download and then she had to slow it down 🥱

I feel like most of her songs on this album sound exactly the same, even the ones that started out up tempo and then it changes to that mellow slow type of feel but overall it wasn’t a bad album but it’s no replay value for me either

i’m a billie fan and this isn’t my favorite album but her other albums have more diversity i think this one is more slow past at times but i like it but i understand why you don’t like this as much

ngl i think her first album you'd like a lot more its very upbeat and catchy this one is more quiet and soft

the diner is her singing from her stalkers point of view that has been stalking her for years now

also the song name "chihiro" is a reference to the movie "spirited away"

personally i have never had that problem😭i can hear her pretty well on speakers and on headphones, imo happier than ever (her last album) is better than this one, they are both good but i prefer the previous one, she def did go for a dif sound on this tho

I listened to the album on speakers and couldn't hear most lyrics but when I used headphones it sounded clearer and better but I think an artist has to produce an album to be the same quality on any device that's my one nitpick with this one.

“Flat” is the perfect way to describe how I was feeling while listening to this album 😂. Maybe it’ll grow on me since I liked some songs from her last Album (Happier Than Ever), but so far, it just sounds odd to me. I can appreciate chaotic music, but most of these songs just rushed imo.

I really vibe with this album after the 2nd listen. I totally understand Dee’s issues/critques with the album. Im an artist so for me personally this album gonna have me in my zone when im working negl😂

Usually the production in her work is really good. The contrast with her airy and angel-like voice goes well with upbeat and sometimes dark beats. Ig she trying to go full angel but it just sounds ghostly and lackluster.

This was my first time listening to an album by her. I don't mind sad music if it sounds good lol I got a few sad songs on my playlist. Just scrolled through it now, "So Sick" by Ne-Yo & "Another Sad Love Song" by Toni Braxton are two I play quite often actually lol

I like her airy and angelic like vocals but honestly this project was very forgettable and this is my second listen 🫤 I only really like 2 or 3 out of the 11 tracks. Plus the lyrics were all over the place at times and I agree the production was a little boring most of the album

I really like her previous work, but this album wasnt hittin for me. Sounds like ppl would to listen to this on drugs to get the effect i think its going for.

In my opinion I loved this album. It’s right up my alley. Though I listen to literally every genre, it was a right mix for me. I already knew after listening to it that it wouldn’t be your cup of tea, but I love how open you are to different music and genres.❤️

Her debut album which had Bad Guy is probably her most upbeat Album, that was her most iconic era everyone remembers her for, green hair and everything. She won 5 Grammys for that album as well so I guess they agreed too
