That's another thing about latin house holds, blessings are common. Like God bless you(Dios te bendiga), God watch you, Go with God, God have mercy, and yea. But blessings like Bendicion are often said with a kiss on the cheek as a greeting and goodbyes. As you said, I also think dominicans have alot of ppl of darker complexions. Many latinos like Brazilians, ecuadorians and other Latinos from latin america come in different shades due to slavery,indigenous and European roots. Mexicans can also be black, but I heard many different towns in mexico have specific traits. Like a mexican town can have ppl that are super white, another town can have the most population of black mexicans. Overall though, personally every mexican I know tends to have strong indigenous roots. Puerto ricans,dominicans and Cubans though are from the Caribbean and they do have alot of white,indigenous and black people. Even the white puerto rican,dominicans and Cubans can even catch color due to being in the islands. You are right though, dominicans do come in lots of colors. Talking about the Caribbean makes me want to visit puerto rico again and see family. Probably might travel this summer ,idk
