Yeah that 70% is mothers that were single but that still doesn’t change the fact that 90% of felons both black and white grew up in a house without a father, 85% of children with behavioral problems didn’t have one either. This is not just a black problem but an American problem as well, it’s just is more prominent in the black community, African immigrations on average are more successful, have a higher graduation rate, and 17% of them have masters degrees, there family values are soooo much better than White Americans which is why there more successful. Thomas Sowell did a study and found that in the same communities first generation Americans, were there parents were African and Jamaican they had a lower crime rate and on average made 58% more than blacks in the exact same community. They look the same and everything but the culture is different, they have stronger family values than Black Americans.

A lot of the information gathered on fatherless black children is super outdated and misleading. Additionally, a lot of these women that were documented were "single" black mothers meaning they were not married, not that their children didn't have their father in their life. I've lived my whole life around black people and personally have come across wayyyy more people who have their fathers in their lives. But agreed that the family dynamic is important

It’s the lack of guides in these communities, 70% of black children grown up without a father and that’s a problem, then you got 90% of felons both black and white don’t have dads as well. You fix the community by fixing the home.
