[Uncut] Chainsawman: Reze Arc

Comments

As someone from a country with strict gun control, I have trouble wrapping my head around why the government would allow private individuals to possess something so lethal. I’m aware there might be some historical reasons behind it, but even though I enjoy playing shooting games, I absolutely never want to see guns in real life. Because once someone is holding a gun, they possess the potential power to kill a person from dozens of meters away—you could even say your life is in someone else’s hands. This is fundamentally different from using a stone or a knife. And a gun license doesn’t really help, since you can never truly know what’s going on in someone’s mind. A person who wants to protect their family could completely transform into a mass shooter because of certain circumstances… But I’m getting off topic… The Gun Devil is truly terrifying T_T

People are probably more afraid of the Gun devil than the Bomb devil since guns are a lot more prolific in society. like most people are probably more familiar with guns and thus more scared of them than bombs, as the only place bombs are going to be found in any quantity are warzones. and from my understanding there isn't any large conflicts in the chainsawman universe currently where bombs would be widespead so there isn't really anything to fuel the fear of bombs, while people get murdered with guns everyday and just a few years prior in the story the gun devil murdered millions leading to it being feared even more.

A few cool details in the movie: in the spider catching a butterfly scene, you can notice that the butterfly is a monarch butterfly, which is poisonous. In the last frame it's shown that the spider died after catching and eating it. Pretty symbolic. Also, in the final faceoff in front of the sea, you can see a countdown to the fight on the building behind Reze. Also, the song she sings when choking the assassin is in Russian. People speculate that it's a way to count the time to make sure he's dead.
