MID-YEAR CONTENT UPDATE

Dear Grey Wolves,

Would you look at that, July 12 already? Halfway through the year, boy howdy, how time flies.

So, this is a message about the content we’ve put out so far this year, and what you can look forward to for the rest of it. Usually, we like to keep you all on your toes about what’s coming up so you don’t get any ideas about “expecting us” to “do things.” But, I know we got a lot of new sign-ups from our mini-series this year, so wanted to let you all know there is much more to come.

Speaking of, let’s hear it for Hell on Earth and Movie Mindset: Season 1! We want to thank everyone who tuned in for both of these, we really enjoyed putting them together and are extremely proud of how they both turned out. It seems like those who listened really appreciated what we were going for with both series, so thanks again to everyone who followed us to the 17th century and/or the spectacular world of the silver screen.

SO, what’s coming up for the rest of the year? Well first of all, as always, the main show continues as usual. A public episode at the top of the week and a subscriber ep at the end of the week, you can expect that pretty much as long as the sun continues to rise. We are nothing if not your humble servants, bound to bear bi-weekly witness to the various horrors and delights of the news cycle.

Right now, Matt is working on a more extended installment of the INEBRIATED PAST series. This will be a 3 or 4 part series covering a long-anticipated topic: the Spanish Civil War. This will be a Matt solo series dropping as the one weekly Patreon-only episode, probably through September (i.e. not a full bonus mini-series, just the 2nd weekly episode while it runs).

After that: MOVIE MINDSET will return for a special GHOULVIE SCREAMSET series covering horror films. This will be a 4-5 week run through October, and will be another full bonus mini-series, so a second Patreon episode each week. Will’s already programmed this whole series, it’s great, we will release a schedule of the films beforehand along with a guide of where to stream and/or buy the films.

Then, we are tentatively planning to have a FELIX LED MINI-SERIES at the very end of the year. We’ll keep details on this a little more vague for the moment, but this will combine a few of Felix’s interests and examine the making of conservative media stars. Coming late November or December.

Further off, in 2024, there will be a full MOVIE MINDSET: SEASON 2 in the spring. Also, Matt & Chris will return for a HELL ON EARTH follow-up. For this, we’re looking at bridging the gap between Hell on Earth and Hell of Presidents with a series covering the Seven Years War and the ascendance of English-led Capitalism to world-wide prominence in the middle of the 18th century. That will probably be for next summer. Title TBA…Hell on the High Seas? Oceans become battlefields?? We’ll see. Also, many people have inquired about the fate of Hell of Presidents and Time for My Stories with the changes over at Stitcher. We cannot promise anything, but we are looking very strongly into what's going on with both those series, and into the potential to bring them back under the Chapo Family of RSS Feeds.

So, in short: look at my shit. You all should be very well fed for the next year.

Finally, a reminder of two new features we’ve recently added to the Patreon:

COLLECTIONS: This is basically a playlisting feature, but we’ve added a few of our essential Chapo series into convenient playlist form for easier listening. We will add more collections as time goes on. We’re always open to suggestions (and tbqh the Collections will happen quicker if you just send me what ep #s you think should go together).

THE SHOP: If you’re not a full subscriber but just want to pick up a batch of our classic eps to download and listen to off-platform (or are a subscriber who’s a sicko for owning your media), you can now buy them directly over at our digital shop. We’ve launched this again with a selection of Classic Chapo eps, but we will be adding Hell on Earth and Movie Mindset to the shop in September ahead of the next round of Movie Mindset eps.
