Posts with Benefits; Tier Confusion

So I'll not bury the lede: in September, I plan to begin taking public art commissions for the first time in over 10 years. Details will be made available on release!

I anticipate that on opening commissions, Patreon membership will drop significantly. I understand the reasoning completely -- if I'm sending someone money as support anyway, why not also get something out of it? I fully expect this outcome, and if this description applies to you, I'm not upset. To everyone reading this, I want to say thank you for all the support you've given me already.
However, I also want to give people a reason to continue to support me here, so I will be adding tangible benefits to pledges. There will soon be tiers with benefits and increased participation for supporters, including early access to works in progress, advanced previews of public submissions, participation in content-driving polls, and more.

However, please do not move to a new tier at this time, for reasons I'm about to explain!
It appears that Patreon has, in recent years, changed how custom pledges are handled. If there are tiers for $5 and for $10, and you custom pledge $100, you don't automatically get the rewards from those two tiers! In fact, you're listed as having no tier! Obviously this is not what I want, because right now, basically everyone is on a custom tier, so nearly all my supporters would miss out!

My plan at the moment is to create a few lower price tiers with benefits for those that want them, and then additional higher tiers that will (at least for now) not confer any additional benefit, but will allow you to donate more than the bare minimum and not miss out on the insider tier perks. This is clumsy, but at least as far as I can tell, seems to work.
If anyone reading this has any insight on this as a creator or someone who knows more about this treatment, please let me know if there are alternatives to this!

Anyway, on a less managerial note, how about news? Updates? What have I been up to all this time?
Well, I really have been back to work lately, and for those who don't follow news elsewhere, this is to let you know I've finally completed my long-running and previously all-but-abandoned comics Boxdog and Ask Ice Pack, with real endings and everything! The truth is even I wasn't sure it'd ever happen, and thinking the phrase "Boxdog is complete" feels deeply surreal.
I've also defied expectations and returned to work on the adventure serial DiveQuest, which is now, again, ongoing! Since its return I have published over 600 new panels and finished 6 chapters! It is currently my main creative focus but I have a lot else in the works as well!
Hard to believe I'm back drawing Muschio Malto and the gang after all these years. Here, I hope, is to many years more.

Expect a post to follow in the coming days as I figure out this tier thing a little more! I'm grateful for everyone's patience and support, and I hope that as my work picks up again I can be worthy of the kindness you've all given me.
