Culturally however it has a bit more weight in the sentence structure "Herald of X" which takes on a semi religious or prophetic quality and can apply to events, odd objects, strange signs etc. "A herald of woe" referring to a bad omen. "A herald of the end" might be an apocalyptic preacher etc. Here I think Viktor is seen as a "Herald of ascension". 2 - Why the pillar with their measurements is in the commune: In season one when Vi takes Caitlyn to hide out in the undercity she takes her to their old home in one of the worst parts, which contains a tent city of shimmer addicts. Then Vi knocks their home down by breaking the pillar to escape Silco. When Viktor follows Sky's voice she takes him to the same place, and that's where he builds his commune. They're standing in their old home but the only thing still standing is half the pillar. This makes Vi's offer to stay here with Jinx even more meaningful. 3 - Why did Caitlyn help Vi - First reason is she was tired of allowing violence in the name of peace, and has lost faith in Ambessa's guidance. Second reason is her core trauma is the loss of a parent, and she was just offered a way to save the woman she loves (and she does love Vi) from losing her only parent. Thirdly, see Singed's line about what we'll do for love. I'm going to separate my thoughts on Viktor perhaps to the discord actually.

She also came to know that singed is from piltover and that he did all those horrible things because of love just as she is. A piltover scientist was using Zaun as a test lab. This is were Cait realizes what she is becoming. Cait has also been pushing back against ambessa since EP 4, she never trusted Ambessa. In EP 6 when Cait comes in between the meeting of Ambessa and Singed it makes it look like she interrupted when She is supposed to be the one in power, the commander, she knows singed and Ambessa want to use the beast as a weapon so that why she sides with Vi, WW also being Vi's "dad" also helped as she wouldn't want to see Vi reaction when her dad would be used as a test subject or weapon or even killed. There could be more I'm missing or just forgetting right now but Caitlyn is using Ambessa to learn and become better, Caitlyn lost her mother and Ambessa her daughter, the have some kind of relationship.

It looks exactly the same, with the same sort of corruption Jayce's hammer has. Makes me think that it popped over from the other side somehow.
