Like the show has luck and coincidence and if you dont like that its fine. But its a theme within the show that was executed well. And if light didnt get lucky L wouldve caught him 10× over. Like but then theres things that arent luck that people say are they are so quick to say luck this luck that. Like no it makes perfect sense within the context of the ststory

And honestly 99 percent of anything anyone complains about is a nit pick that wasnt the shows goal in the first place. Or an overlooking of details. He had a pilot it got accepted he made a manga week by week for a while which is pretty much completely pperfect. Then the getw gets a 37 million dollar budget and its executed flawlessly. Like to talk about what he complains ab next episode which is just an opinion so not worth de bunking. He says mikami is a better pro tag than light which sure his back story is relatable. you gotta ask was the goal of the show to make a relatable protag? No. We dont even get lights backstory and thats on purpose. I mean wouldnt it be nice to explore the shinigami realm? Of course. Would it make the show better? Of course. Is that the point of deathnote? No so to say it was bad writing not to include it is kinda dumb. Which no one said its just an example. This show does what this show does perfectly in every way. The only way it could be iimproved would be to write the whole story edit it edit it edit it. (Like aot creator) but yeah the things he complains about dont have to do with that much. Its mostly blatant mmisunderstandings of the source material. If you want deathnote to be a perfect story then dont watch the show thats 37 20 min episodes. Read the manga

2024-11-07 23:04:00 +0000 UTCI dont mean precisely plot holes but rather the serialisation which is quite obvious. There could have been seeds planted earlier for specific things to happen which weren't. It kind of means that it was not planned out as well as you thought it is in a detailed sense, but in a general sense sure it was. I absolutely love death note its one of my favourite shows but I cant sit here and lie to myself that it is not without faults.

I comment only on the direct overlooking of things clearly stated in the show... i hate to tell you death note has zero plot holes. Its one of the best shows of all time and 99 percent of the things he criticizes are due to him forgetting key details or overlooking them in the first place. Much love tho

Death note has its place and is a great show but the world building and deep dive into philosophical concepts are lacking (even thought they would fit great here). Anyways take it easy, he is a great reactor who gives his honest opinions and actually talks about things which is rare these days.

The dub for this show is perfect and you can understand it so its better

The icpo in episode 2. The police pulling out of the kira investigation. The outside world was for sure there showing how the world felt about their "new god"
