I believe the writers were asked about this at one point and they mentioned their physical closeness is meant to be uneasy to the watcher, but that astute watchers would realize very quickly from context clues it’s like a small child being close to a parent. Which is still a bit uneasy since Jinx is older, but this highlights her regression to a childlike status, not anything weirder.

2024-10-09 16:43:56 +0000 UTCAnd it only gets better. It's so jam packed with important details, if you blink, you will miss something. Mistaking the pink haired girl on the airship for Vi is common. You at least figured it out quickly. But her face keeps changing with the flashes in the scene.
