To be fair they're probably just going off the manga stats. Which I'm not saying I agree with completely, but he technically is according to that.

I paused it before Rem spoke with Light again, so then I think the reason could just be plot wise or genuinely just because it wouldn't be what Misa (aka Light) would want like Rem mentioned later.

2024-09-26 13:17:14 +0000 UTC[ 30:26 ] I think if Rem kills everyone in the taskforce in this case, Rem would die. It would be to protect Misa. Then Light and Misa would be the only survivors and Rem does care enough for that to not happen.
